Stinking Cloud OVERPOWERED
Seriously, the ability for a mob to cast unlimited stinking clouds is OVERPOWERED. Literally, my characters can do NOTHING. Doesn't matter their saves, base attack, ANYTHING... it just keeps casting and casting and casting unlimited stinking clouds until it finally nickels and dimes them to death with claws or some other attack because they can't even recover since it just casts another one.

And there is no clear air, gust of wind, etc or other spell to prevent this.

Oh... and PS... of course EVERY enemy (including the caster) makes it save.. EVERY TIME. TOTALLY OVERPOWERED!

Enemies on poison floors are immune to poison. And so should be you. PK is not a game of brute-forcing. Gotta use the tools provided by the game.

UGH... Why didn't I think of that. Of course, the second time, my characters had just hit 5th level, so just had access to it but not memorized.

Basic Delay Poison is level 2 spell. Remove Sickness is level 1 which is also useful in rogue dungeon on disease-levels.

tactical option, is to move your ranged characters outside of the cloud and attack from afar.

You could also say it's one of the few low level non buff spells that's useful to the player. That and grease. It would be more correct to say other low level control and damage spells aren't as useful (aka lack of balance.) Edit: and fear. Can't forget the endless number of builds based on fear like abilities and spells.

Clouds provide Concealment against ranged afaik. But obviously if you lack protection from poison it's an option.

Glitterdust, web, grease, pits - all are awesome earlygame tools. Then comes stinking cloud and everything is good in life.

Stinking cloud is fully countered by poison delay communal. Just one spell vs all poison dmg and effects.


But for example, there are a lot golems with prismatic spray(all energies dmg, curses) swift move spam in new dungeon dlc. Those are real pain in the arse (and high level traps), even wild hunt monarches are not that tough. As a bonus, golems almost DO NOT DROP items at all. To stay alive against golems you have to cast all 5 energy immunities communal and be ready to dispel gisgusting things such as baleful polymorph/insanity.

Have at least 2 chars that can cast this. Have it up pretty much 100% of the time.

It lasts for 1 hour, I don't think you need multiple casters unless you are worried about getting dispelled.

Main reason to have 2-3 casts of those is for travel.
