Not that I'm against a feat tree. I support one. But external databases aren't needed to understand what feats lead to which. You just have to read.
Untrue, the feats shown in "reveal all" isn't very informative or new player friendly.
It doesn't naturally pair the feats with the feats needed, like skill focus conjuration unlocking augment summoning... it's WAY too hidden to anyone that isn't familiar with the structure of Pathfinder
I totally agree - that could be a way as well: This feat is a prerequisit for xxx feat
The problem there is knowing what will I get if I pick that feat, you would still need to look that up.
Much rather see this than a tree. There really isn't that many feats that build into other feats and when they do its usually just a straight power upgrade that you don't have to plan builds around.
Trees also don't solve the problem with abilities like Selective Channeling which you may never even know existed without having the needed attribute for it to display.
This would probably be the easiest addition to make to solve the problem, it'd help a lot especially for new players.
Seconded! When I started playing, I was new to the pathfinder system, and I had to say to any friends that were interested in playing: it's great, but be prepared to look up a lot of stuff about pathfinder online. A change like this would make the game a lot more accessible to new players.
My first step in literally ANY game with a system like PF feats is to sit down and read every option and look at every prerequisite. After that you know what you can have and what you need to get there.
Well good on you - a lot of people would never do that, and to be frank, they shouldn't.
The game could easily show, that taking spell focus conjuration would lead to augment summoning, because who would know as a new player?
It's making it easy for people to get into that is key here. Maybe not a tree, but then at least showing what a feat opens up for.
