Mod request - Feat Tree
A mod that changes the way that feats are arranged, into a feat tree - that way you can actually play the game without prior knowledge of the game, or the need to visit external sites/builds to know which feats to get to unlock others.

Inspiration: https://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/feat-tree/

Note, I think this should have been the way it should have been in the game to begin with, so DEVS take this as a suggestion as well for the next Adventure Path you're building... if... you're building one... I hope

Or hit the reveal all button and read every feat.

Not that I'm against a feat tree. I support one. But external databases aren't needed to understand what feats lead to which. You just have to read.

Would be solved partially if feats showed what feats they lead to in description, now they only show prerequisites.

Untrue, the feats shown in "reveal all" isn't very informative or new player friendly.
It doesn't naturally pair the feats with the feats needed, like skill focus conjuration unlocking augment summoning... it's WAY too hidden to anyone that isn't familiar with the structure of Pathfinder

I totally agree - that could be a way as well: This feat is a prerequisit for xxx feat

The problem there is knowing what will I get if I pick that feat, you would still need to look that up.

Much rather see this than a tree. There really isn't that many feats that build into other feats and when they do its usually just a straight power upgrade that you don't have to plan builds around.

Trees also don't solve the problem with abilities like Selective Channeling which you may never even know existed without having the needed attribute for it to display.

This would probably be the easiest addition to make to solve the problem, it'd help a lot especially for new players.

Seconded! When I started playing, I was new to the pathfinder system, and I had to say to any friends that were interested in playing: it's great, but be prepared to look up a lot of stuff about pathfinder online. A change like this would make the game a lot more accessible to new players.

I think a feat tree would be a great QoL improvement. Even though we can get all the information we could need for building, its only in alphabetical order and cant be sorted by category or anything else. It would cut down on time planning builds

If you read them you'll find which ones require others. Not saying a way to find the chain in earlier feats wouldn't be nice. I'm saying that all the information is already there and it's a question of whether or not you go look for it.

My first step in literally ANY game with a system like PF feats is to sit down and read every option and look at every prerequisite. After that you know what you can have and what you need to get there.

Well good on you - a lot of people would never do that, and to be frank, they shouldn't.
The game could easily show, that taking spell focus conjuration would lead to augment summoning, because who would know as a new player?

It's making it easy for people to get into that is key here. Maybe not a tree, but then at least showing what a feat opens up for.

Hey I've seen that out already! Oh... Never mind that was a tree for shoes not for the feet.
Dixon Sider Jun 16, 2019 @ 10:35pm
It wouldnt even need to be a tree. Just ways to sort the options other than alphabetical would be huge

That'd be great

it is alraedy better in wraith, doubt they will do anything major here though, at best we get wraith uptades

By the way, I made google sheet of all the Kingmaker feats together with links to their prerequisite and dependent feats: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1807380960
