Kobolds - Ally with them in either chapter 1 or 2
Kobolds/Trolls you need to be chaotic, no sane Lawful person would ally with them. Also Kobolds/Trolls are mutually exclusive in Chapter 2
Untrue. You can ally with kobolds at at two different points, and you only need to do it once to unlock the building. During chapter 1 you just need to resolve the mite vs kobold plotline with the kobolds still on friendly terms (so side with the koblods, or take the N path that allows you find the truth without taking sides).
Also during the battle with the kobold and troll leaders the choice of who you can try to ally with depends on which one you kill first.
Heck Linzi will even mention it after you defeat Tartuk, telling him that he's an idiot because his kobold followers could already have lived in your kingdom peacefully if they allied with you like Sootscale's tribe did (if you made friends with them)
How is it untrue? He didn't say you can't allie with kobolds on chapter 1. He just added bits of information that the dude before him missed.... You know, because he probably read stuff before commenting...
He said they're were "mutually exclusive in Chapter 2", when they're not. You can get Kobolds in Chapter 1, hence why he was told it was untrue.
So as you say, "You know, because he probably read stuff before commenting..."
They ARE mutually exclusive in Chapter 2. You can only ally with one of them, as you kill the other. You can ally with Kobolds in Chapter 1, but that isn't Chapter 2.
Chapter 2 I'm pretty sure you only need to be Chaotic to side with the troll king and as all other information is outdated online siding with the trolls has been fixed. So by that I mean you will not be locked out of going back into the Dwarven ruins, you can revisit at any point in the future, and therefore not inherently failing Harrim's questline. You can both finish his quest, Jubilost's and collect any relics you may of missed.
Jayzon will take you to the King if you're "lawful?" I believe, not making him hostile inside after engaging with the trolls. However, choosing to go in manually can make him hostile but even if you kill him and the procced to ally with the troll king, he will be alive outside?? Definitely a bug, but a welcome one as Jayzon is cool.
Know it's a old thread, but thought I'd share my experience on outdated info
