DLC's worth it?
Hi guys
Just wanted to get your opinion on the DLC's?
Played the game back when it was originally released, but was suffering from quite a few bugs.

Really loved the game though, so wanted to get back to it, but can see that there's been released quite a few DLC's. Are anyone "must haves" and which ones would you generally speaking recommend?

The Kineticist DLC is well worth it. Adds some good content tot he main game and a pair of playable Kineticists to boot.

The other one which gives you an endless dungeon is great but only if you are done with the main game and just want to keep playing a dungeon crawl. If not, don't bother. If that sounds appealing, do get it, it is awesome sauce. But I stress, don't bother with it until after you finish the main game.

Like you, I played this game first last year when it originally came out, but it was sucha mess I shelved it and just picked it back up last month. The experience has greatly improved and the DLCs make it even better.

As mentioned, the Kineticist DLC is absolutely worth it. Beneath the Stolen Lands DOES let you squeeze some extra levels and gear out of the main campaign during the breaks between acts, though it's pure side content and skipable if you don't care for that sort of thing. Varnhold's Lot is an interesting side story, though its linearity and repetitive nature of its encounters (Oozes immune to everything but direct damage) is annoying.

Oh yeah forgot about Varnhold. Varnhold is also good as a sidestory, and lets you see Maegar Varn's side of the story better. This one is actually a pretty nice DLC to get. You get a little extra loot out of it but it's more for story. The actual content will take you a good 5-10 hours or so to finish, which isn't so bad.

I have enjoyed all of the DLC. I will say I disagree about putting off Beneath the Stolen Lands (BTSL) until after beating the main game. I found BTSL to be a great way to learn about all the different classes and how to level the different classes optimally. I ended up playing it 14 times and now have a solid sense for what the different feats do, party synergy, and how I like to form my party. It made me really want to go back and play the main campaign again, now that I understand the pathfinder system (Historically I am a 2nd and 5th edition D&D player).

I love BtSL rogue-like mode. It has its issues, but honestly, it's great fun and you get to actually use your end-game builds. Plus, none of the other DLC have the same replay value. If you're only going to buy one DLC, buy BtSL.
The Dungeon DLC If you are playing solo/Unfair and want to grind easiily to a level you need to progress.
Varnhold is railroaded, gives you 4 uninteresting and terribly statted mercenaries to fill out your party, and a annoying teleporter puzzle at the end. Not worth it
The on that unlocks the Tieflings is 11/9.

I wanted to smash a Tiefling. I got to smash a Tiefling. 1001% worth.
