Q about camping and skills
Is the value of a skill cumulative of all other characters’ same skill values?
I am confused with camping... I noticed that I can camp without camping tools?? And sometime I make camp and some parties members still not in full hp?

1. There is one skill that governs the score for each job during camp. You can either work it all out or you can just move characters about and see the results. The game suggests characters for each job for you and does a reasonable job of it. If you change it I think it remembers your custom set up from camp to camp.

2. When you're on the world map or above ground in an area you can hunt (providing you allocate someone to the hunt job), so you don't need rations.

3. In a dungeon you can't hunt. If you don't have rations you therefore can't rest in dungeons. The moral of this is never go dungeon crawling mid-game onwards without a stack of rations in inventory. Some dungeons you will not be able to get out of either 'cos they get locked or in some cases you will get attacked from behind by mobs you can't defeat unless you got enough supplies to rest up. Don't skimp - consider how man rests you might need and double it.

4. Using rations makes for a faster rest than hunting (usually) so if time is of the essence you can use them to speed up travel time.

5. There are two tick boxes on the camp management screen, one form deciding if you use rations or not, the other whether to go for natural healing or using spells. I'm not sure you would ever go for natural healing over using spells tbh since you always come out of rests with all your heals back anyway.

6. If you try to rest without ability to hunt and either don't have any rations or don't tick the use rations box then you just pass 9 hours of time but don't get your spells back and just get a bit of natural healing. This may be why you not getting a full heal on what you think is a rest.

7. However resting without rations or hunting (called skip time) is useful when you want to burn off a load of 24 hour temporary level drains and such without also using up rations.

Two things to add to the above . . .

1) A campign skill e.g. knowledge world for cooking is the character you put in that slots knowledge world e.g. Character A has + X to knowledge world they will roll D20 + X in order to try and cook the meal you have selected. If for the options where you can assign a second character e.g. hunting the second character will only add + 2 to the first characters check though the one with a higher score will if I rememebr right be the one making the check e.g. Amari hunting +12 is D20 + 12 to successfully hunt (affects time) Amari + Tristan hunting with Amari having a score of +12 and Tristan +7 will be D20 + 12 + 2 to see how long it takes.

2) Resting will heal up to what you can heal not to full health. For example character A has 2 of 20 hp and heals 9 on resting (random numbers) after a rest they will have 11 of 20 hp. If you have a cleric with cure light wounds the cleric will automatically cast the spell (I don't know how they choose who to heal) so the person could restore 9 + Cure light wounds meaning they may be 15 of 20 when recovered. If the cleric has 2 cure light and a cure moderate they will cast all 3 in order to heal the party. Of course if they have used all their spells for the day there is nothing to cast on that rest putting you back at default healing. Spells used are the cure series, heal, restoration and so on until they either run out of memorized spells or have fully healed the party.

What about the skills question 😔

when camping, no, skill are not cumulative. However, you can put a extra 'user' giving the main user +2 to his skill check. The second user don't need to have any expertise in that skill.

Unless you play on a high difficulty/solo you usually find as much rations as you can spend.. As for healing, prepare enough cure spells to top off what you get from a rest. This why I have a paladin+cleric in my party at minimum. Unfortunately, Inquisitor Judgments only seem to be able to be used in combat, so you cant use the fast healing one just before a rest.

Use potions and healing scrolls to top off the people not full after resting. You will find a lot of them while exploring and dropping from enemies
Using scrolls and potions costs a lot of time, as you find a lot of weak ones. This is especially true for healing Valerie or the two highest levels.

You can use them instantly in your menu if you right click them in your inventory. Scrolls are even casted on the person you want by the person with the best chance to use it
