Not getting Bloodline bonus feats
Originally posted by Shadow88:
You get to pick a Bloodline feat at 7th level, 13th, and 19th. So that list of bloodline feats - you'll only get three of them as bonus feats (you can still take them as regular feats, though) and, even then, only if you stick to Sorcerer for the full 20 levels (well... 19).

My magnus scion character doesn't seem to be receiving the bloodline bonus feats.
Reached level 7 and I only got to pick a normal level 7 feat.
Does bloodline bonus feats work differently for magnus scion vs sorcerors?

I don't really play Eldritch Scion, but I believe that the bonus magus feats are at levels 5,11,17 and are just bonus magus feats not bloodline specific ones.

Am referring to the specfic feats from bloodline like the ones sorcerers get. I picked the abyssal bloodline, I'm supposed to get power attack feat etc from that bloodline. My character is at level 10 and so far I never gotten a single bloodline feat. I'm wondering if magus scions get them at all.

That seem to be right, the pink sword icon.

Are you using that site for reference?

If yes, the description is wrong on it. I also use this site for many lore but the classes descriptions is often a mess :(

I mean the feats from this:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1883840838

They are supposed to be a unique seperate list of feats that are given accordingly due to the bloodline. The one you displayed in your screenshot above seems to be magus bonus feats that are given based on class.

EDIT: Someone replied on my reddit thread.

Magus scions do not get bloodline feats uggh :(

Do you mean you can't pick any of them or just power attack? The only prerequisite for Power Attack is Strength 13 so unless you're playing a Dex magus you're supposed to have it there.

I'm playing Undead bloodline eldritch scion and I was able to pick one of the feats from my bloodline at level 5, and it works as intended.

@Starbud07
You can pick these feats normally as per when you gain feats on levelling up, also as part of magus feats, but you do NOT derive them as bloodline feats. The magus scions don't get bloodline feats at all. The text in my screenshot is misleading. Those bonus feats are granted only for sorcerers and not for the magus scions despite the magus scion also sharing bloodline. That was the question I was asking and the point.

The initial claim that magus characters are supposed to receive bloodline feats is incorrect. To see this, all you have to do is go to the abyssal bloodline screen for the magus and compare it to the abyssal bloodline screen for sorcerers. The sorcerer version has bonus feats at the expected levels drawn from the abyssal list, while the magus version doesn't.

That the two are different shouldn't be a big surprise. Indeed they *have* to be substantially different since magi never receive the 7th-9th level spells granted by all sorcerer bloodlines. This is just one additional difference.
