I think my most hated enemy is the Dweomer cat what's yours?
So nearing end game and having fought most types of enemies and I think of the non-boss types my most hated one is the Dweomercat. Other ones may have drain abilities or insta-kill abilities but these edge them out for most hated because of the teleporting. Fight will be going ok and it'll teleport from one side of the map launch a series of attacks that are enough to kill the casters it targets then go back to attacking the others. Since I tend to use Tristan with a sorcerer/cleric build as my main healer this tends to cut healing/buffing out early in the fight.

So of all the non-boss enemies which is your most hated and why?

Owlbears, they are usually so damn strong (especially early in the game). Can easily wipe out a full party

Lantern King. More difficult than Spawn. I pussied out and lowered it to story when i first fought him.

You know about Resist Lightning/Protection right?

See Invis can also help.

Yep Mnadragora swarm's are a pain, fortunately you can put summons in their way to slow them and they take 1/2 damage from normal weapons.

By the way, does delay poison not work on manadragora swarms?

No - i always use it and it didn´t work on them. Death-Ward neither. I´d second mandragora swarms, but fortunately there aren´t that many in game.

There's a bunch in the DLC dungeon.

In the stand-alone version? Haven´t played that so far. For the campaign version: unsure, but i guess i haven´t seen any.

I get the feeling they're not using poison or dark magic so much as eating away at your body like the scarabs in the mummy. It's why I use summons to slow them then try to kill them quickly. Reason they lose out to the Dweomercat for me is they have to come to you so you can keep the healer/caster away.

No the campaign one. The DLC dungeon in the campaign has a couple of manadragora swarms.

I can´t remember that.^^ But perhaps there were simply to many annoying situations, because You open a door and the fight starts - instead of having time to prepare for what´s next.

Good point, that´s what i did too. Haste on me, slow on them. But that works vs the cats too - after reloading.^^

It's a secret door if I remember right. I don't remember the exact floor, but there were sooo many manadragora swarms in that room.

1) Specters / Soul Eaters. Very hard to hit, negative levels are seriously destructive. If you do not know where to use Death Wards, you are dead.

2) Mandragora swarms. Swarms in general are bad but the fact that there is no way to guard against them makes it worse.

3) Wild Hunt. Yes, STILL annoying with their ridiculous stats, dispels and gaze attacks.
