RTwP is Much Better Than TB
I see a lot of people begging for turn based lately. I just want to let the developers know that there are still a ton of people that want the game to be RTwP, and we appreciate your hard work. Thank you Owlcat for making such an amazing game, and reigniting the RTwP genre so strongly. This is my opinion and I am just so happy to share it

Their hard work is actually part of the reason why the TB mod is so successful. So, yes, thank you for implementing the core Pathfinder mechanics in such a way that said mod was possible and paving the way for people to customize their play experience in this singleplayer-only title.

More companies should just do what Pillars did, and dedicate time to making a Turn-based mode alongside RTwP. It's an easy way to rack in money, every forum post is filled with people saying that they bought PoE for the first time because of it. Not that hard to make either, just a matter of converting stats to initiative and action points.

Agreed

The better mod between RtwP and TB is down to personal tastes, there is no universal answer. (I prefer TB, but if a poll was made, I bet RtwP would win)
With a D&D/Pathfinder ruleset, both can be offered, and everyone is happy.

When people stop using their brains after a certain age. Like you. This guy is spamming every turn base title, like we cant love playing turn base. Anyway i am done here with you kids.
Have a lovely day.
And now I am a kid with no brain for daring to not share your opinion as well. Good luck with that attitude mate.

Just waving - another passionate RTwP fan here.

DA:O has my absolute favourite control scheme of any game I have played.

Anyway, turn based game and real time game modes are two different genres, So you cant compare them. Is like to compare pasta versus meat, or train vs car.

Not sure genre is the right word(?), but it is a good point.

I get a very different feeling when playing a turn-based game. It feels very 'gamey' to me like playing chess.

Being able to pause in real time gives a much finer grained approach to any encounter in terms of options.

Agreed. However, my past experience with TB supporters has been negative. So I'm not going to say much.
Prime example of what I'm talking about right here:

If (some) RTwP fanboys weren't so toxic every time someone tries to discuss about TB, you wouldn't see such reactions from TB players.
In every discussion i've followed (mostly before TB mod was a thing) the TB players were only asking for an option to play TB while the RTwP players (or at least those that did answer) were always taking it as a fight between the 2 systems as if they couldn't exist side-by-side, something the mod clearly proved is possible.

Anyway, i think RTwP is as fine a system as any other. DA:Origin is a great game that works perfectly smoothly. However, D&D and Pathfinder rules were never created for Real Time!

FREEDOM FOR ALL.

Devs have the choice to build a game how they want it to be.
Players have the choice to play the game how they want to do it.
Modders have the choice to enhance a game how they want to do it.
EVERYBODY has the fwucking right to play as they want and with any mod they want as bonus.

Stop the provocations. Stop the flaming.
People has tastes. Just be tolerant about it.
