Just out of curiosity, do you call kid everyone that doesnt share your views?
Agreed
The better mod between RtwP and TB is down to personal tastes, there is no universal answer. (I prefer TB, but if a poll was made, I bet RtwP would win)
With a D&D/Pathfinder ruleset, both can be offered, and everyone is happy.
DA:O has my absolute favourite control scheme of any game I have played.
Not sure genre is the right word(?), but it is a good point.
I get a very different feeling when playing a turn-based game. It feels very 'gamey' to me like playing chess.
Being able to pause in real time gives a much finer grained approach to any encounter in terms of options.
The recent Divinity games and also the games from Spiderweb software.
Divinity origal sin 2 is fantastic.
Prime example of what I'm talking about right here:
In every discussion i've followed (mostly before TB mod was a thing) the TB players were only asking for an option to play TB while the RTwP players (or at least those that did answer) were always taking it as a fight between the 2 systems as if they couldn't exist side-by-side, something the mod clearly proved is possible.
Anyway, i think RTwP is as fine a system as any other. DA:Origin is a great game that works perfectly smoothly. However, D&D and Pathfinder rules were never created for Real Time!
Excuses.
Devs have the choice to build a game how they want it to be.
Players have the choice to play the game how they want to do it.
Modders have the choice to enhance a game how they want to do it.
EVERYBODY has the fwucking right to play as they want and with any mod they want as bonus.
Stop the provocations. Stop the flaming.
People has tastes. Just be tolerant about it.
