Eldritch Knight final ability "Spell Critical"
If you had a level in alchemist, can throwing bombs and scoring a critical hit trigger a "Spell Critical" . Then cast a quickened spell within the next two rounds?
Thank you for your info/help.

Have not tested it, but anything that can crit, should trigger it....ranged weapons do for sure. I think thrown bombs count as ranged weapons (they get affected by range weapon bonuses), so it should work. That being said, almost anything else is better as you'll get more attacks (ranged weapons that is), and therefore, more chances on getting a crit.

I like great cleave personally + Faulchard (18-20 base crit) since you have a 30% chance to crit, as long as there are 3 or more enemies your pretty sure to get at least 1 crit and a free spell. With haste though you still get 3 attacks vs 1 enemy if you have not moved that turn.

As far as range, if you use a reach weapon + enlarge or legendary proportions, you'll hit most enemies with a melee weapon anyway (pretty much same range as a bow/bomb).

Also it doesn't seem like multiple crits stack, you just get the spell critical buff that lets you cast one spell quickened for free.
