Does the flaming burst enchantment damage allies?

Regarding the 'elemental burst' enchantments (flaming burst etc) that proc upon crit, the text says it does not damage the wielder. I would like to know whether its AOE damage and whether it damages party members near the wielder though?

i don't believe so... it should just be extra damage dice on the enemy ( but wouldn't put past Owlcat of screwing that up too )

But honestly its nothing the lowest level of resist energy wouldn't cover

Actually does anyone know the answer to this? I don't see it as owlcat screwing things up, but being more true to the PnP rules were there was friendly fire.

What weapon has elemental burst?

I just grabbed an Adamantine, icy burst, starknife +3 I have equipped it as offhand for a ranger but have not done a crit with it yet. It is way more powerful than any other offhand I have right now, I am just worried it will backfire.

If it is a random drop and doesn't effect allies, I may have just struck gold.

No, burst weapons are not AoE, but they are solid when using weapons with a high crit chance.

That is good to hear, when re reading the description I noticed that it said "explodes with frost" and "doesn't harm the wielder". So my brain jumped to the conclusion of "how big is the explosion" and "who does it actually harm". It looks like it is just a tiny "explosion" hurting just a single enemy.
