Kingdom Mode: surviving day 18 onwards (18-91)
I am on day 18 and I have not yet found any potatoes nor been able to update the car enough times to get my hands on the update tool so I could finally start to keep up. Half of my map is 100% red and lost to the hordes. I am getting 7 waves of zombies now every two days. There is no way for me to rebuild and gather materials AND research. I have only six herbs and they heal so little, sleeping heals so little and I do not get enough recruits to replenish my team after each horde night.

Is there any way to make this game easier? Any tips? Suggestions? Can I somehow clear the red zones so I can get back to enjoying the game and not ... stress.

I am a prepper personality, please all the productions and resources are so limited there is NO WAY a single person can maintain the base on level 1 tools and weapons. Why is the update tool on the last tier of the car upgrades?

Ah. It works if you treat the settlers as cannon food. Do not form bonds with them. Have a huge field of blueberries to feed them all, enough that they can fight. Ignore their complaints. Let them die. .... not the way I was playing, trying to keep them all 100% fed and happy and alive *sigh*

Still do not know how to clear fallen locations, if that is possible. My map is now 80% fallen XD

Still no anvil, potatoes or level up tool. All areas outside the inner square have fallen + three squares on the inside. I am on day 44.

Starting to get the hang on the game play, just before it all ends up fallen. Oh well.
Day 55 I have now learnted that Anling can clear fallen squares, she just have to focus clearing the less fallen areas nearby, this reduces the fallen % for the entire 3x3 grid around the cleared square.

Day 59 trying to clear the red zones is exhausting. Still no mechanical kits, lock picks, potatoes or a crowbar. I fear you can only find them on the out-most ring and the day does not have enough hours to clear the fallen zones to get to the outer rim. Especially with only stone axe as my weapon. I did find a pistol, but it is broken and I have no method of fixing it.

I only ever got one lock pick, but I died right after so never get to use it to try to open anything. The tool repair bench is also impossible to get cause one cannot take the trolley indoors.

I think my issue with the potatoes was I did not plant them when I got two in the early days of the game. Then the outskirts farm fell and all the deliveries ended. Same with the forest park.

Also there are not enough cars to rummage to get batteries. Without a crowbar option that is.

The Kingdom Mode is going to be an amazing version of this game when it is finally finished and polished. I think I have to let few years roll.

Day 78, finally got some potatoes! You can find them in the Alaskan supermarket! Lots of booze bottles there too. So far no mechanical kits, but found one lock pick!

Day 91 I finally managed to get the anvil. I have no idea how the highway got unlocked, maybe it has been a while I just did not notice. After getting the anvil upgrading the car to get the survivor's camp was easy.

I never got any mechanical kits from the hundreds of cubbyholes Cody crawled into and I got only one lock pick.

You actually can take the trolley inside buildings. you just have to keep pushing it as you enter.

Yeah I realized it can be done, of the region has been cleared from zombies and is under the survivor ownership.
