Patch Update: Loading optimized

Dear Moms,

We're thrilled to announce some significant improvements to the loading issues you may have encountered in story mode levels. Our team has been hard at work addressing these issues to ensure a smoother gaming experience for you and your fellow players. Here's a breakdown of what we've accomplished:

We've resolved various errors that were causing freezes, camera angle problems, and other disruptions during level loading.
Significant optimizations have been made to the speed of scene switching between Anling's house (1st and 2nd floor), the backyard, and the neighborhood outside the front door.

We understand the frustration these issues may have caused, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
Balancing the introduction of new gameplay with the resolution of existing problems has been our top priority, and we appreciate your patience and support.

Update Announcement "Kingdom Mode Preview"

Kingdom Preview update coming soon with a massive overhaul of the entire game.

This new game mode (preview version) will allow players to completely customize their experience by allowing players to customize their base with pieces of the environment.

Dear Moms,

We hope this message finds you well! We're thrilled to share some exciting updates and fixes that we've been diligently working on to enhance your gaming experience. Here's a rundown of what's new:

Data Balancing:

Tranquil Difficulty: We've heard your feedback, and under the [Tranquil] difficulty setting, we've boosted the durability of all weapons from 140% to 160%, making your survival journey even smoother.

Increased Base Durability: We've made adjustments to the base durability of several weapons to ensure better gameplay balance:

Crowbar: 20 → 30
Handgun: 40 → 50
Pickaxe: 20 → 30
Chainsaw: 200 → 300

Enhancement Options: Now, you can enhance the durability of select weapons right from the comfort of your home! Here's a list of weapons and the number of enhancement levels available:

Handgun: 3 levels
Shotgun: 3 levels
Pickaxe: 3 levels
Slingshot: 5 levels
War Sword: 5 levels

Bug Fixes:

We've squashed pesky bugs to ensure a smoother gaming experience:

No more interruptions in background music (BGMs) or sound effects (SFXs).
You can now revisit the enhancement banner using your keyboard after reaching the maximum enhancement level for weapons.
Various minor UI issues have been addressed and fixed.

Undying Sale, Spring Festival Gifts, "Cody's Kingdom Mode"

Hey all!

We've got a quick update from the development team on what's coming up with Undying!

However, before we get to that, we are happy to announce that Undying is experiencing a 30% sale right now as part of a Midweek Madness, there's no better time to grab Undying than now!

Not only that, we have some gifts for everyone to enjoy!

First, there is the new outfit that represents delicate and resilient power, while being inspired by the East.

Secondly, there are some firecrackers to light off and have fun with. These are a limited-time item and can be claimed every day, so don't miss out!

Last but not least, tentatively called "Cody's Kingdom" is the brand new update to Survival Mode that'll be coming soon! We'll have a teaser later this week as well as some dev blogs to explain what's happening, so stay tuned!

Cody:

After learning the skill [Stress: Calm], Cody will no longer freeze in place due to excessive fear.
The tolerance range for "Cody gets scared when away from Mom" has been doubled.

Bug Fixes:

Fixed an issue where triggering a certain plot event while Cody is sick could lead to a game freeze.
Fixed a key conflict issue when using the chainsaw to cut down trees.
Fixed several minor bugs related to the chainsaw.
Fixed incorrect item display for NPC stakes in the Face Up Face Down card game.
Corrected some text errors in the prompts.

Wishing all “mothers” a Merry Christmas! In the spirit of the holidays, please accept a Christmas gift from all of us at Vanimals and Skystone Games:

Added a free "Reindeer Set" outfit for both mother and son
Decorated main locations with Christmas/Winter themes
During the Christmas season, you can find Cody's exclusive festive "Snowball Bullet" on the 1st floor of the home

No time to help Cody learn or find new weapons? We have you covered!

Added the "Mother’s Blessings" mechanism. After completing any ending in any save file, you can inherit Cody's skills and backpack items into a new game

Optimizations for the Crown Carnival location:

Redesigned the haunted house maze in the Crown Carnival. Now, upon reaching the haunted house, the walls won't automatically change, until you turn on the switch outside the main front door
Modified the quest line for rescuing the clown in the Crown Carnival. Now, after rescuing him, he will reward you with the "Chainsaw" weapon - if you have already finished the clown quest before, you still can do this new quest, again! :)
Added the two-handed weapon "Chainsaw"

Gameplay optimizations based on player feedback:

Improved the disassembly function of the recycling table. Now, stackable items can be batch disassembled
Optimized the storage box, displaying more items on the screen, and increasing storage capacity
The TV at home now has additional channel options: [Weather Forecast] and [Criminal Investigation Files]. Take some time to check them out!

Other:

Fixed numerous bugs related to Face Down Face Up cards
Fixed various other bugs

Coming next, we are going to focus on a proper Endless or Survival mode with a lot more playable content and features. Of course, we will keep improving the main game and sharing dev progress along the way!

Locations and Plot:

Endings: Fixed the issue where random endings were not triggering achievements.
Supermarket: Resolved the problem in the Korean version where the safe code was not displayed.
Police Station: Increased the resilience of the iron-back gang's meals to prevent easy corruption.

Cody and Anling:

Cody now can explore faster in the exploration areas.
Adjusted Anling's movement speed under the influence of symptoms, with a minimum speed of 45%.

And some optimizations for other issues.

Locations and Plot:

Carnival Haunted House: Resolved the issue where the exit might be blocked, and the four small maps are now more straightforward to comprehend.
Supermarket: Fixed the problem where using a crowbar to open the office door lock, and being interrupted, would cause the protagonist to automatically move when attacking.
Survivor Camp: Reduced the difficulty of Jeremy's card game and changed his trading items to bullet shells.

Cody and Anling:

Cody's Skill: Fixed the issue where killing NPCs did not correctly increase Cody's skill learning progress.
Cody's Skill: Resolved the display issue of unlocking scene numbers in the skill interface.
Fixed the problem where Cody did not appear on the second-floor bed at home after getting sick.

Locations and Plot:

Carnival Haunted House: Fixed an issue where a door might disappear.
Mine Interior: Resolved the problem where your kid might not go up when using the mine elevator.
Police Station: Modified the incorrect model display of broken glass when entering the police station after a riot.
Forest Park: Fixed the issue where talking to Chris could lead to a black screen.
Fixed some plot dialogues that could cause the game to freeze.

Resource Balance:

Upgrading shotguns and upgrading food bench no longer require metal pipes.
Fixed an issue where the values were automatically reset after putting back the peachwood sword.

Cody and Anling:

Cody's Skill: Fixed the issue where killing zombies in unsafe areas did not correctly increase Cody's skill learning progress.
Cody's Skill: When learning to craft, changed from the cumulative times of crafting to the cumulative count.
Anling: In [Medium Difficulty], the duration of symptoms has been significantly reduced, especially for more severe symptoms.

Gamer Experience:

Key: Swapped the key for chopping trees with an axe and commanding Cody to chop trees.

Language text:

Chinese: Fixed some typos.
Korean: Fixed some button text overflow issues.
