As you can take things with you into the next game run at the end of the game, you should try to buy as many of the expansions as you can. These will then be kept for the next game run. I think I now have around 70 spaces in the 3rd run.
thx for the info I did not know that cuz there is no much information of the game when u goggle
So get every backpack upgrade you can(even when you would trade gas or the like). Gas etc. you can get via playing, the upgrade only once every 3 days! Looks like 4 scraps/wood = 1 pistal ammo from the value. 20 sawdust = 1 ammo(So I guess the base crafting value is used) as 20 sawdust = 4 wood = 1 pistal ammo!
For me scraps(as I get those from robots) over the processed lvl 3 woodthing(from wood planks made) to wood planks to wood.
To the backpack the slot size increase upgrade gives a flat +20% slotcapacity. When the slotcapacity is 20 base(I just throw numbers around to show the math behind it), then with the upgrade it is 24 then. So an item having 2 capacity, a base slot can take 10, the upgraded 12. Hope these information helps you guys.
Okay the price of the backpack change with the days NOT your item's worth(item retain the same value doesn't matter the day, the price of the backpack does increase with the days past)!
4 wood/scrap = 1 pistol ammo
20 sawdust = 1 pistol ammo
5 sawdust = 1 scrap/wood
plastic fragment = 3 sawdust
1 gas = 3 ammo-2 scrap(total value 10 scraps)
1 battery = 1 ammo = 4 scraps
1 rifle ammo = 8 scraps
Edit update: Day 6 10% trade buff 19 ammo+2 scraps for backpack
6 plastic/glas fragments = 1 ammo = 4 scraps so 3 fragments are 2 scraps
electric wire = 1 scrap
1 mechanical kit = 45 scraps
1 cloth = 1 scrap
Metalplates are a bit elusive about their true value. But I guess it's at:
1 metal plate = 4,33 scraps
1 pistol shell = 1 scrap
1 gunpowder = 2 scrap
1 fabric = 1 scrap
Edit 2 update: Day 9 10% trade buff 21 ammo+1 scrap for backpack
metal part = 8 scraps
hex bar = 5 scraps
tape = 3 scraps
flour = 5 scraps
charcoal is a bit bad to track. So my guess is:
5 charcoal = 3 scraps(needs further testing)
Edit 3 update: Day 12 14% trade buff 22 ammo+1scrap and day 15 23 ammo+2 scraps. Day 18 24 ammo+3 scraps 18% trade buff.
