How to unlock locations

I wanted to start a thread to collect information regarding how to unlock locations in the game, as this seems to be the biggest issue for people

Farm:
Complete the introduction around the house.

City:
Collect the circuit board from the Farm, and fix the TV at the house.

Supermarket:
Collect the circuit board from the Farm, and fix the TV at the house.

Huff Canning Factory:
DIRECTION - Rescue Sean in the back of the Supermarket.
Distance - Kill the bandit at the highway, and can be retrieved when he dies.

National Park:
DISTANCE - found during day 1 - location to be clarified.
DIRECTION - Found in the City, where the cat is hiding.

Larob Mine:
DISTANCE - found by speaking to neighbour Mary, and giving her 2 clean water.
Direction - Visit the Highway. Heal and Feed the female behind the barrier.

RV Park:
DISTANCE - Rescue Dianna at the supermarket location.
Direction - Speak to Brandy at the Farm.

Highway:
DIRECTION - Speak to Mary again after giving Water x2, Water x2, and then give Food x2. DISTANCE - Retrieve Chris' camera at the National Park, then speak to Chris.

Crown Carnival:
DIRECTION - Pick up the flyer at the National Park (next to where Chris' Camera is located.
DIRECTION - Pick up the Vehicle Invoice on the garage floor in the City.

Beach:
DIRECTION - pick up the photo in the Carnival Maze.
DISTANCE - read the note in the Canning Factory.

Secret Lab: Reach day 45, unlocked as part of the story.

Police Station: At Secret lab exterior, a corpse has a business card with the details.

Any other information appreciated, so reply with info and I'll update this.

Apologies if I'm mistaken:

As for the beach, you can unlock it with the picture you find in the carnival maze plus inspecting the note (?) in the lab where you find the scientist when you have to disguise yourself as the IronBack Gang Member. (Direction + Distance Info)

So you have to clear the Highway and the Gang Base (?) before you can gain access to the beach.

How DO you unlock the Carnival...? I seem to have searched in every location possible but came up with nothing (I think the direction was acquired from a Flyer Note on the Highway, but im not sure)

RV Park direction is via Brandy in the farm out of stuff I remember.

I would say locations are honestly no problem at all, they are super hard to miss if you remotely bother to explore.

The biggest issue by far is trying to figure out how long do the sidequests last and how often you need to revisit NPCs for something new.
Sometimes there are hints to remind you but most of the time there are none.

Canning Factory distance is on the bandit in the highway, and can be retrieved when he dies.

Some police station info is also given by the gang leader at the canning factory.

Secret lab early access
- finish RV park quest (diana died)
- beach unlock room 5 ( get the photo on the beach.. give it to sick man.. go to room 5… read paper on the floor

Talk to Mary in the neighborhood, give her what she requires and she will tell his father was in the mine.
Later, you will help a woman behind a guardrail in the highway. Warm her and give her food. Then, she will tell the exact location of mine.

So, the RV Park isn't unlocking for me. I saved Diana, and read the note Brandy left when she and Bill apparently fled the farm, but it's still not on the map

How to unlocking campground maps at earlier?

We have to wait til day 45 for lab? Do I need to visit the sheriff from when I first find him til then? Ty
