The sequence of each ball's trajectories and speeds NEVER changes, even when you earn a bonus ball (for every 4 successive home runs or something). To calm your nerves, I do recommend pausing after each hit. If one of the balls in the sequence turns out to be faster, then make note of which number in the sequence you'd gotten to so that you can at least give yourself a heads-up on your next go to react faster for that particular ball.
The ball has fixed pattern so take notes for each pitch so pause the game after each pitch then takes notes on notepad or something. then you need to train muscle memory and yout eyes
Kiryu has some kind of Yakuza superpowers or something that let him swing a bat at physically impossible speeds.
You might already be doing this, but I found it way easier (if also way cheesier) to play Super Gold Rush mode only until I made a profit of 1 mil (so after the 5 mil buy in, 6 mil earned), back out, go save right outside, and then start again. You'll only need to hit the first 5 or so targets, so no moving ones to worry about, and practicing just those 5 is way easier than trying to hit like 8-10 in a row. Plus if you lose too much money you can just load a save without losing completion point progress.
I see advice to look at Kiryu and not the ball but it doesn't help since I don't know when to hit the button...if I do it right when he stiffens, I still hit the ball foul quite a lot. Watched a video of someone doing it and they suggest looking at the ball...I did that for a bit and hit four in a row then failed on the first pitch over and over after that. No matter what, the bulk of my failures are on the first or second pitch with me hitting the ball but it going foul all the time.
Doesn't seem to be a real trick to it and, even with me knowing the speed of the balls coming, it doesn't seem to help. Doesn't help that I often fail after one swing and have to view the dumb profit screen over and over either. I'll probably just have to try it a little each day until I get it...if only for my own sanity.
I find that watching Kiryu still works best but there's a different time to swing in his animation for each pitch. My biggest issue was screwing up the 1st two pitches because I would swing when he would stiffen...but I needed to wait until he stiffened and then the bat started to drop. It's very subtle but once I noticed this, I started to do much better on the 1st two.
After that, I found that hitting it as soon as he stiffens works for the next four pitches. The tricky part is just getting the timing down, especially on the slow pitches. It's so easy to jump the gun and hit the button early. And the fifth pitch is a ♥♥♥♥♥ since the ball goes way to the right and makes you think you can't hit it...but that's when you need to swing.
So glad to have that done.
