That was just an example, there are many other cultural details that gets lots in dubs, but not in subs. Subs can even add context to explain those details.
Leave it in japanese; subtitles might not be the perfect answer, but they're the lesser evil. If you're that keen on hearing instead of reading then try learning the language.
But Yakuza is a Japanese game set in Japan...I can deal with subs here. I would go as far to say that having an English dub would be really weird actually.
Perhaps the only exception I would mention is the character Bacchus since he's white (American), but even then, I would have gone with the option of having a English voice actor speak in Japanese...His current voice is just weird coming out of a white homeless guy.
Naruto and Dragonball already had anime with English dubs. I imagine dubs in the game were done more for those who come from the English dub anime than for the sake of the minority audience of dub fans.
Final Fantasy I can't give a reason for. Maybe the fact that it's a far larger series with a far larger budget makes an English dub more pheasable. Perhaps some of the characters aren't supposed to neccassarily be Asian in the first place. Whatever reason, it doesn't matter, that's Square, not SEGA.
The English dub for the Persona series keeps all the honorifics intact, so I would expect the same treatment with a hypothetical Yakuza 0 dub.
You get the inference, it isn't set the Empire of Zar'barath.
