I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate the dancing mini game.
It's bad enough it's hard as ♥♥♥♥, even worse when it's attached to a substory but the worst is the fact you can't skip the damn intro or the conversations!

Like ♥♥♥♥ man, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ get it, I failed to beat Ogita. How about you let me skip all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and let me try again!? Just how many times do I have to see the same scenes over and over again!?

I suck at this minigame too, I suck at rythm games in general, guess I have slow reactions. Could barely beat disco on easy difficulty.

The mini game itself is really unforgiving, though. Most rhythm games still give some points for not getting the timing right but in this mini game, unless you hit that button dead center, you don't get any points. On top of that, you need to take extra steps in order to win against Ogita, something the game clearly has no problem doing. Once your rhythm is f*cked, you might as well quit because no way you're winning.

Oh wait, you can't quit halfway. You need to finish the mini game, watch the same scenes again, then watch another scene to try again. It sucks, man.

dude, this is the most forgiving rhythm game I've seen in my life. you can pass it by missing so much it's kinda funny.

I mean, you can just skip the side story and do something else, there is a lot of content to enjoy in this game. Either that, or ...well, get good.

Games are a meritocracy. Want to see what's behind the skill check? Gotta pass the skill check. ... watch, before the start of 2023, we'll have all games with a "skip" 'feature' that defeats the purpose of the game.

"Do you want to skip a game?". Even maybe like a paid option.

I didn't like it either at 1st...but I realized that the dancing is all rhythm and each song has a diff pace to it. It takes practice.

It's sort of difficult to give advice when it comes to a rhythm game, so saying "git gud" as much as I hate that phrase is literally all you can do. Rhythm games are purely down to how good you are, there's no strategy other than hit the buttons in time with the music.

If you can't do that... well...

I find disco is hard due to the fact conflicting lights and colours are coming across the screen and button prompts which, throws me off considerably. Also, this mini-game is down to pure luck if anything. I just beat Ogita after losing near 10 times to him, and only because his A.I. spazzed out and kept missing notes did I beat him. The other 9 times I kept pefectly on him only for him to pull a extra 50 or 100 points out of his arse at the end from nowhere.

There's only one true answer, git gud. I sucked at start badly couldn't complete even easy difficulty but now getting 2 stars on hard. So yeah, git gud

Dancing Minigame requires a bit of practice, thats true. Still not as half as annoying as Mahjongg or Shogi where you have no ♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue what to do :D

just keep going for the buttons and dont worry about moving around to get more steps, and wait till the outline goes a little bit inside the square before pressing it.

The final challenge Ogita doesn't work like that , you can do that for the first 2 characters but not the last one. The guy goes on random on how many points he will get at the end. I don't get it how but i think is completly RNG his level of skill ... sometimes it will end with 6k which is doable but sometimes he will go to straight up 6.9k points which instead is doable only by making as many steps as possible.

The issue is that , you can be lucky and he just goes for that ammount ... or the guy goes full on "♥♥♥♥ you , you can't win" and decides to mop the floor with ya. I managed but it's a little stupid that it can be easy or difficult just by pure chance.

True, but at least you can decide on which difficulty you want to battle him. He´s managable on Easy :)
