Miss Isobe Impossible?
I've tried every little bit of advice I've seen here for the dance minigames. From trying to get more steps, to just doing easy and not missing a combo, and she always manages to beat me by like 400-1000, even when she missed combos. Is there some rng trick/computer cheating I'm missing here? it's rather maddening/frustrating if this is how Sega thinks a challenge should be, just random bout os point gain despite obvious misses.

Seriously, am I missing something here?

I just focused on getting the highest possible combo while using disco fever whenever possible and I managed to beat her.

She's definitively not impossible, as a lot of people managed to beat her. On easy though, you have very limited room for mistakes, and you should try to maximise your steps between each button press as her song is one that favor freestyling. There is a bit of randomness in how well she will score and the mistakes she will make.

I beat her the second time on easy. The first time, I challenged her on hard, and I would have won if the game hadn't decided to freeze during my last fever activation, the one which would have put me ahead in points...

Thats just for the laugh. It is sure a great advice. If you can do 5600 points on easy just keep trying, eventually AI will fk up.

Are you using Fever? It's a free and easy 1Kish points each time.

Yup, any time it popped i used it. Hell I eben out did her on combos 51 to her 18 and she STILL beat me

As I said, there is some randomness. Sometimes, she is on fire(and the name of the game is to fuel her flame), sometimes she is more tame. It's annoying, but there isn't much you can do when the 6000 points madness occurs. It took me two tries to beat her, so I never got her to go all Miracle Johnson on me.

I can't beat her on any difficulty. On Hard I got 7302 and she got over 8000 every single time for 5 games straight. It's the same for other difficulties. I'm getting sick of this music by now and I am very annoyed.

That definately sounds as rigged as the other guy. I can easily get 7k points on that song now, but 8k sounds almost impossible even for that song.

It is RNG. Play on normal or hard so it's more likely that she messes up. She can get between 6-10k so you just have to grind a bit until she gets a lower score.

RNG dancing, that's a funny one. The minigame itself is fun but this particular dance battle makes me want to punt a dog into ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ outer space. Ogita is no problem cuz I don't need to do it. I need isobe for my hostesses and this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ battle is giving me cancer.

Update: For anyone wondering or struggling I hope this helps: I played it on hard and finally did it. Hard is actually much easier than easy, since she ♥♥♥♥♥ up more. Land all your fever combos, and don't go for more than 3 or 4 steps if you're confident. If not, it's safe to keep within the square right up until press. It is definitely partly rng, and she messed up more than usual when I finally beat her, but playing on hard, not overdoing steps, and doing your fever right when you get it really helps. Hope this helps someone.

trying to beat Isobe or Ogita on easy is a fool's errand. you simply don't get enough combos to offset their insanely high steps. Both are actually not difficult as long as you are able to hit almost every square and do 3 fever sequences. You have to know the songs like the back of your hand so you can get into the rhthym. trying to watch for the squares to line up is impossible, you have to feel the rhthym and it becomes child's play.

I find Fever can be counter productive if I use it at the wrong time. More important by far is to not miss any ticks, and to catch as many of them as possible. I focus on getting the highest combo indeed. Use Fever only early on / during "downtimes", and consider skipping entirely towards the end. When a song picks up & throw tons of prompts at you fast, you want to be able to catch them, not be stuck in Fever for a measly 1k points.

You may get the impression that your Fever interrupts the opponent's, but I am pretty sure it does not. Rather, since it hides your oppnent's screen, they can mess up "invisibly", thereby fooling you into thinking you found the secret interrupution technique.
