Moon Palace To Tasnica Bug

Hello all,

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but I don't recall not being able to have the duck thingy NOT tell me where the Sage is next after the Palace.

He's supposed to tell me to go to Tasnica after, yet, all he's telling me is to go back to the Moon Palace, even though I've been there back and forth around 10 times now, trying to find any possible room I might have missed, even though the dungeon is cleared.

Is this a bug? Or am I possibly missing something?

If I can't proceed on with the story, well, I think I'm done with this version of the game. Not going to spend all that time starting brand new.


EDIT: Tried restarting the game, making a brand new Save File, and verifying the integrity of the cache. None of these have worked.

You need to visit the golden isle and got the key for the golden temple -> Get the spirit and mana s e men.

Next...

Go to the Moon Palace, get the spirit and mana s e men.

Next...

Go to Tasnica

Next...

Visit Lunar (Ranul)

Already have the seed and The Moon Spirit/seed.

I've already made sure by googling of what I'm supposed to do next. The problem is, the Dialogue from the Duck monster doesn't change from what it had told me to do before.

Never read the dialogue. I read what the people told me to do and i also know what to do from SNES. ^^

Try to go on your story and look if it changes or still get stuck.

If it tells you the same thing it´s a bug.

It tells me exactly the same thing.

I remember this from the SNES version too.

After I had beaten the Moon Palace, it tells me to go back to lofty mountains, and talk to the Duck thing again, hence doing so, he simply tells me to go back to the Moon Palace, which I know isn't right.

Thus, I looked as I stated, around 10 times, checking every single room I thought I could have possibly missed. This is AFTER the dungeon was cleared out the first time, so there were no monsters, or enemies. I even touched the seed again multiple times, thinking I maybe had forgotten to do so.

And if it's a bug, and no way to fix it, that's a damned shame. Guess maybe I'll try to beat this version in another year ago.

Just when you thought Square Enix didn't make a F_ck up of a port/Remake too... Jokes on me I guess.

There´s no bug....

Ok, if i´m right.... after moon palace you need to got to the mountain to Ranul.

He should tell you that his master went to Tasnica.


Questions:

1. Did you visit Tasnica and are there soldiers which don´t allow you to enter ?

2. Did you visit the dark temple, got the spirit and mana s e men from there ?

Yes, and yes. And when I went back to Tanisca, guard simply said spies were around and i wasn't allowed in. I know what I'm talking about, I've played this game when I was like 6 years old, and have done so through roms/emu's almost every 2 years, beating secret of mana 1, and 2.

I thank you for the help, but this is help I've already looked/searched around for, and repeated many times.

So No, you're not right, and I'm sorry that you aren't, wish you were, but you aren't.

This port is notoriious for bugs, and it's not surprising at least one person has run into such a bug..

Maybe you forgot to use the Sword on the Seed in the Temple? Then the Game doesnt let you go on.

I am having the same issue, except it's on the Tasnica stage. I beat the Tasnica portion and went back to Jehk as instructed in the Game Log and Jehk tells me to go back to Tasnica...

This could be a possible bug of doing the story out of order. Just make sure you sealed the mana seeds at every spot. If you don't maybe that is what is causing it. I have not run into this bug personally. I also suggest you do this in every rpg:

HAVE MULTIPLE SAVES. This is the #1 rule when playing rpg's. This way if it is a game breaking bug, you could go back to previous save. Did you talk to Jena aftewards and the real person that appears in Tasnica? Or is everyone saying where is the spy still?
