PS5 Guide Button Issue

So I just got a PS5 controller to use for some games on steam, but when I open FF15, the Guide button doesn't work, so I can't access the gear menu & etc unless I use the TAB button on my keyboard. I've been messing around with controller config in Big Picture mode as well as the controller settings for the individual game, but I can't seem to figure it out.

go to steam controller settings , change the select button and listen for key ,press it again and it shows select as input, have to change those manually to work, the guide button does not work but the select button will
