Chapter 6 bug; game's stuck

Hi, this is my 1st time playing ffxv, i got to chapter 6 now and hit the road with iris in the "all set to sail" main mission, and after a little while the car will pull over to park in a town everyone goes out and the game will let me continue walking about, but i can't do anything, the only key that works is escape but it will show me a 'pause' screen like in a clip. Nothing else works and i cant seem to fix this bug.
I read online im supposed to see an imperial air craft above me on the ride but im not seeing any and the next supposed main mission, "imperial infiltration" wont show up.
I really don't know what to do.

I met the same problem and tried man ways to sovle it but failed. Hope that someone can find the solution.

this is what worked for me, when you enter the car with iris and the others, do not press anything at all, until the trip is over and you get out of car and the ui is back, do not move when noctis gets out of car until the ui comes back,
