Backwood Burial Quest Bug

After picking up the dog tag near a wooden house, the quest did not update

Anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix?

I came back later on and it updated for me. Aggravating, for sure.

Do you have to comeback to this area to make it work or it updates by itself?

Hey guys, all you have to do is talk to the diner in old Lestallum. He'll reveal the location of the dog tag and it should auto-update the quest

Necro thread i had this issue and it resolved after turning in a hunt at that NPC.
