Interiors are too dark.
both when looking from the outside and in some cases on the inside as well, places like galdin key are way too dark. i understand there's an effect to simulate eyes adjusting to light but how dark it gets is way too much.

Pic taken on demo, but it seems to be happening on the full release as well

Yeah, same issue here in the full game. I can barely see anything.

My specs: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit fully updated, i7-3770k at clock speeds, 32GB RAM, GTX 970 at clock speeds with the latest drivers (391.01).

I hope this gets addressed / fixed soon, because it makes the game unplayable.

I've tried downgrading my graphics drivers by uninstalling 391.01 and installing 390.77 as a clean installation (no changed settings from the defaults) and rebooted to make sure I had a clean 390.77, but this had no effect -- the 'dark interiors' issue persists.

Try lowering/changing your ambient occlusion settings. I find dark scenes in some games are caused by Nvidia HBAO+, switching to a lower AO options usually fixes it.

That scene specifically, especially in the cutscene, has abnormally dark lighting. I don't think it's affected by any settings in particular. I had AO completely off and shadows/lighting on high

Tweaking AO settings didn't do anything for me. I also experienced an almost completely black interior in one of the first missions, where you enter a shed in search of a hunter and are attacked by a group of enemies - I could not see ANYTHING inside. I went back there a second time to see what'd happen, and it was fine the second time around, so... I'm not quite sure what's going on there... :/

Tweaking AO does nothing , Also i can't seem to be able to see things unless i'm close enough, and i don't mean Pop-in, i can see sillhouttes but at night for example i can only see the color of a wall when i'm close enough to it, even if i can see the shape of the wall

Nope. doesn't matter wich settings i change, be it in-game or through nvidia panel changes nothing. so the problem is definitely with the game. because it uses Denuvo i don't think we can even use mods to fix it :/
Developers please, look into this!
Game is made for HDR so use it and color and contrast is just fine

Use the thing that I'm sure a lot of us can't really make use of since we don't have HDR monitors?

They could also fix it so I don't have to go buy another monitor

You know they're trying to release modding tools, yeah?

Oh yeaah, let me just lug either my tower to my TV or rip my TV off the wall ok then.

Or what, are you expecting me to go out and buy a TV I don't need just for one game when SE could fix what be broke?

I'm not sure you understand what the word "noob" means, my friend.
There's also been 3D on TVs all around since a before 2010, and 240hz monitors already exist, to tie game logic to 240fps is as dumb as tying it to 30. to make 3D mandatory in 2010 would also be dumb. to make a game that doesn't need 3D for it's core gameplay work only on 3D displays is a dumb business decision when it's not needed for gameplay, it's an optional, extra coat of "quality".
Nowhere in the store page does it say HDR is needed, and it wasn't needed for the PS4 version. you cannot design a game around HDR as a mandatory feature, do you think that using the strongest weapon in a game makes you a better player and that someone with a weaker weapon is a noob, without taking skill into account? same thing for a monitor, how does having HDR or not make one a noob?
