Magitek exosuit=god mode
What were the devs thinking with this? You get the suit so early in the game, and it just make you invincible to basically everything. I seriously didn't ever die on normal until the final boss. It made the game super boring. And yes, I know "just don't use it". But c'mon the thing is super OP.

JRPG's alwyas have this as a micro transaction. They all usually have an item that makes the game a cake walk lol

Yes, they need to remove it as well as nerf the damage on Ragnarok (or remove both items) from the story game.

I mean it's not like the difficulty is anything to write home about. Once you unlock endgame weapons even the 100 floor dungeon (forgot its actual name) is pretty easy.

I just wanted to say, found this comment funny since crafted weapons are stronger from Cid.

The Ragnarok is way stronger than any of the crafted weapons in the game, at lvl 99 it warp strikes for over 20k with limit break compared to the Ultima blade which only does 5k. On normal attacks it only does slightly less damage with 2k compared to the Ultima which does 2.4k.

Sounds to me, like you're doing it wrong. It does boosted damage with Warp Strike, yes. It's literally does half damage compared to Ultima Blade for everything else. Plus that boosted damage isn't much better on Warp Strike, since the animation is slow and rarely able to Warp Strike high end enemies without being knocked out of the air.

And with right setup, Ragnarok will do 99999 =P So if someone wants to Warp Strike to win, let 'em. Most boring way to play, but go for it.

That's the entire problem with this game. The most efficient, effect way to do something in this game is usually the most boring. Spamming warp strike is the best thing to do in combat. Using an exosuit is the most effective defense. If I have to handicap myself to have fun in a game, that's a huge flaw in the game.

There's far faster methods to do damage, with far greater speed. Admittedly I've not gotten far on PC version, and only started getting back into it. But with a good setup, you'll kill things far faster then Warp Striking.

Both are literally to help people who aren't good at playing, like a young kid. Why they were added. Ya just have to wait 24 hours to fully charge the suit again, and just have to Lock on and Warp. But even with both, they will be slower then someone who farmed V2 Magitek suits and Rare Metal with proper weapon groups.

Of course there are faster methods of doing damage, but if you're not using the Armiger then there's not much that beats just warp striking with the Ragnarok for 90% of the game. All of the really good damage options only open up very late in the game.

Not sure about that. Starting fresh, level 31 now. Ultima Blade is far surpassing the damage of Ragnarok currently.

And you yourself, said level 99. By then, that's the late game...

It's just annoying because if they fixed that actually the rest of the balancing looks really good, so...

It sounds like you are comparing regular attacks when you are out of MP, yes then its only average.

Why they have to remove it? there's some people that actually enjoy god mode

why you just don't use it? it's not like the game force you to use it
crashonwar Jun 27, 2021 @ 8:48am
so dumb to ask to remove it when its so easy for you to just not use it...

Square Enix initially announced a DLC outfit, Magitek Exosuit, for season pass holders, but it was never released because the publisher of Power Rangers thought the design was too close to their intellectual property. A redesigned costume was released in patch 1.13 free for everyone.

The redesigned version resembles General Glauca's suit of armor from Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV.
https://finalfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Magitek_Exosuit

...eg, they added it because they promised to add it, way way way back when. People who bought the Season Pass were looking forward to having it and were rather mad when it released on console without them. Which wasn't me, but just saying. The redesign delay was really long and so they just gave it to "everyone".

..you may not like it, but as the others said ... don't wear it then. It's no more a "balance" issue then the story-given Ring is, or Ragnarok, because it's optional-use. The only issue is not having the self-control to not use it. I understand some people don't have that type self-control. But that's not SE's fault or responsibility.

Also, there's a mod for that:
https://www.nexusmods.com/finalfantasy15/mods/116

Edit: speaking of self-gimping, one can beat the entire game/post-game staying at lvl1, and they never added a higher difficulty even when it was a popular request during a dev. "future dlc" poll. They don't care about difficulty, really.
