This game has 0 stutter on my computer. The stutter was implemented via update couse the AVATARA test implementation couse loading via network players avatars and photograph content. AVATARA got removed and the game has no stutter again. So, I insist. The game does not stutter, your computer may anyway.

Switching from borderless windowed to fullscreen mode helped smooth out a lot of the stutter in this game for myself.

Not true. In fact on some systems it stutters when Steam's version doesnt.

There are many reasons FF15 can statter. The most common reason in the latest version (assuming you meet recomended spec and have the game installed on SSD) is those 4 Nvidia extra graphics settings.

I was stuttering hard until I upgraded my cpu from a Ryzen 5 2600 to the 5600x and the stuttering is gone. Im also using the special k mod. This game is cpu heavy.

The game is fine. Disable all 4 Nvidia graphics "extras". They are practially guaranteed to stutter with any Nvidia GPU driver released in 2020 or newer.

You can fix the stutter by downloading Special K, a mod that fixes a few things in FFXV
