PS5 controller issues

this is so annoying. I use ds4 etc. I was using the controller absolutely fine with various games for weeks. i go to play FF 15 and none of the buttons works except for some. At first only r buttons and analog + directions worked. I switched the steam controller settings (they are PERFECT) and now no button work except for the x, square etc. This game in particular has so many issues on my system and I dont understand why. I was playing Yakuza 0 for like 4 hours using this controller and JUST tested it just now and it works totally fine and normally.

What the hell am I supposed to do?

Ive literally tried everything. The analog and d pad will NOT work. I can use the buttons to select load game etc, but analog - NOT WORKING AT ALL. Ive tried every single possible variation of controller settings and the controller works absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ FINE in EVERY OTHER STEAM GAME.

Still doesnt work aft6er trying every possible fix found on google. Ive literally done EVERYTHING. SOMEONE MUST KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!?!?!?

my problem is turning the camera up and down, I use reWASD to remap the buttons, but for some reason I can't move the camera up and down, only sideways

I'm having the same issues with my PS4 controller, I even used keyboard to start the tutorial then switch to controller and nothing would work.

Im about to just switch to xbox controller just for this game. Unreal that sony has yet to provide proper support for their controllers for their games that THEY release on pc. So I guess they want me to buy a competitors controller. Cool. *** you Sony! I loved Sony as a kid playing ff 7, 8, 9 etc, but now they are the bad guys. Right up there with nintendo. Holding games hostage, not providing proper support for their games on pc and even worse - GARBAGE ports.

BTW xbox controller works instantly without issue. Sony is sad. (Keep in mind I can use this ps5 controller with all my other games using ds4 (some games dont even require ds4 though)

Not sure what your problem is, but for me it works just fine. Check if you turned on steam controller support in steam settings. Also there is a glitch where controller doesn't work in main menu, but in-game it is fine.

That is unlucky, i've got 200 hours with DS4 and zero issues. Probably something messed up in steam controller configs.

I think i've mostly played with steam input off, since it isn't needed.

Sorry, I thought you were saying you were unable to use DS4 as well now. I haven't used PS5 controller much but I got it working by enabling steam input and selecting the top rated Dualsense community controller layout. I'm guessing you've probably tried that though.
