Report a translation problem
Just because you don't like it doesn't mean people can't enjoy hearing different languages. What if someday that gibberish turns to sentences they can understand, the heresy.
I have to agree with you that most people don't use subs in this game, but that and your preferences don't make enjoying foreign cultures any less valid.
If you would've picked english then you'd have english with no subs, most games just have them off by default. I can't count the amount of times i had to search for subtitles in audio options menus.
I didnt say you should not enjoy it. But I have my doubts about "most people" chosing this route. And in any case its a "problem" that can be fixed in less than one minute by going into options. BTW most SQEX games dont even allow dual audio, this is rare exception.
And that's the fun, you basically play spot the differences with languages. I play Fallout 4 with a mod to make Curie speak french and i'm having fun with it. Sometimes the french version butchers something she says other times it's a pinpoint translation. Not everyone needs FF7 fan re-translation type mods to enjoy games.
Wrong, it makes all the sense.
Simply selecting what language you want used should not ever automatically turn subtitles on. Having it do so would make no sense whatsoever.
In fact, 99.99999% of all players with a brain will select their native language (or at least the language they're most likely to understand) for this setting so turning subtitles on automatically when a language is selected would be a stupid effect.
why does it ask for subtitle language then if it doesn't ask whether it should be turned on?
Have you thought a single second about that?
There is no subtitle language setting in the game at all so it does not ever ask you for a subtitle language setting.
The only language settings that exist in the game are for ALL spoken words and ALL text.
So, having the selection of a language for ALL text in the game automatically turn subtitles on whether or not you want them on makes absolutely no sense.
Have you spent a single second looking at the in game settings?
