True chronological order for the game ?
Everytime I google this or find any posting on this people will be like play this after X because spoilers but I have beaten this game multiple times. I want to play the true order of story events I know about the order of the three original DLCs. but Ive never done episode Ardyn and from what I gathered it seems to take place before the game but everyone says play it after beating because spoilers. So my question is is the whole dlc in the past with like a sudden flash forward ? or does it go back and forth ? I do not mind stopping the dlc and jumping back and forth in order to have a proper timeline if thats what I have to do.

Side note : How the hell can I get rid of this terrible chromatic abbaration

thanks bro I see here it says for episode ardyn

Could be played alongside A King’s Tale, but it makes more sense after playing through the base game. So is the whole dlc before the game ? I havent played it and Im going for a true chronological run.

This is missing the Promotional Videos, Demos and Other forms of publishing that are also part of the lore.

This is the oficial story line presented by Square ENIX.

basically you do the dlc when the member leaves, so when promto leaves the party, that's when his dlc takes place etc

I know about the party member DLC timelines they are pretty straight forward this question is geared toward episode Ardyn as everyone usually says play after the main game but I hear it takes place 30 years before the game actually starts. I havent played that dlc.

Episode Ardyn takes place before the main game yes but their is also some end/post game spoilers in it as well, so that's up to you

yea episode ardyn gives you some context and backstory to ardyn so you understand him better but it also does show some cutscene you will also see at end game, so it's kind of spoilery but not really

Theres also the novel, dawn of the future, which was supposed to be 2nd dlc season and the "real" ending.

Ffs squenix. why does every FF plot now have to be grandoise? Ever since ff13, the whole plot needs to be explained in multiple games/dlc

Episode Gladiolus: Chapter 7.

Episode Prompto: Chapter 11.

Episode Ignis: after clearing the game as it spoils the ending.

Comrades: After Chapter 13, but if you do it prior to Chapter 14 your avatar can be encountered during Chapter 14.

Episode Ardyn: after clearing the game as it also spoils the ending.

Yea Im actually truly saddened to hear only ardyn was made out of the four final dlc and the rest was turned into a book stil dont know why they didnt do it. It would have made money.

Dawn of the Future is not the true ending, just an alternate ending (different director). Also it's such a terrible ending,
"let's just forget about Noctis's sacrifice and brotherhood (the whole point of the game), turn Ardyn into a hero, bring Luna back from the dead, and turn it into a BATTLE OF THE GODS!"

I think you have to watch a movie, a series, play a mobile game and read some manga, all this reminds me of milking ff7
