Does Comrades even work still?
I played FF15 back on release and I wanna replay it but i was wondering if the multiplayer DLC was still up on the PC end, I know the console guys got screwed somehow.

Yes, it is still working.

It works but you'll likely have to set up co-op play via discord or some other 3rd party chat because it's not very likely you'll find anyone playing in the matchmaker.

You CAN complete it solo though with a bit more grinding and using the stupid AI party members.

Comrades server is only used for matchmaking. Otherwise its perfectly playable solo or even offline.

Where are people still getting information that Comrades is shutdown? I'm surprised and confused.

Co-op DLC bundled to a single-player game didn't do any good is all. Not enough players for matchmaking to work.

It's a reasonable conclusion to draw from the store page saying online content is disabled.

Of course, that is just referring to the main story online stuff that was removed but not everyone is going to know about that.

1.30 removes the FFXV the Avatara System. For Comrades, Cross-Play functionality between Steam and Origin users is removed, the Solheim and Eos servers are merged into the Accordo server, and online functionality for Origin is removed.
Comrades still works for Steam Users; Origin version got axed, you cant even buy it on origin anymore i think (however people who already previously own it on origin can still play it/download it etc, They just have to do comrades offline)
However the Avatara system can be modded back in or you can down patch
I don't know if its dedicated or P2P but I'm pretty sure steam version servers still existing means it runs on steam-works and should be fine now, if i had to assume the reason origin got axed besides no players was just it was easier to register it on P2P Via steam works Though running a game server costs like no money and dont let any company tell you otherwise the people at Jagex and LOTR-Online and stuff have proven so posting monthly server costs and its like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

This is true, FlyFF is an mmo and it still runs to this day on only 1-2 players. I always hate when companies like EA shut down games just because they start to dip under a million players when we have all these games on Steam that are still up and running on a box in the corner of some developers apartment.
