For me it's near the resting place in the north of Hammerhead. I have to reload the save 3-5 times, there it is. But someone told me, he tried to spawn Angelus on this spot for 2 hours and had no luck, only the troopers came out of the ship (yes, he finished the story). You'll have to try it.

i pretty much fininshed this game(beat Omega and dungeons),but i just cant encounter max angelus. Isnt there at least some exploit to spot him sooner?

It took me about 2 hours of inconsistent spawns (you have to defeat the level 70 something mech first) to get him to show up, but once I got him to show up, and defeated him, I saved instantly, and just loaded that file. It sometimes 3-5 times before he appears again (of just reloading the save), but i'd consider that pretty consistent. I just go to the camp outside of hammerhead and walk around there. If he doesnt spawn, reload the save. was able to farm him for about an hour and got 1 V2 magitech suit. Not too shaby. Im not like a hardcore completetionist so I stopped after getting 1.

Where do you encounter this lvl 70 mech? same as angelus?

The higher-level spawns don't appear until you've killed some of the lower-level ones, so make sure you're actually killing and not just waiting and reloading. When you see an Angelus or Patria for the first time, you know you're good from then on. I saw Angelus fairly often when I farmed him north of Hammerhead. Got a bunch of V1's and a single V2, and called it a day. There's no content remotely hard enough to need a bunch of V2's, so I was happy just to get one and stop.

Yea I just had the magitech engines keep spawning at hammerhead until I hit Patria. I didn't have to travel the map or anything fancy. was just luck of the draw for the first 2 hours. Then I keep waiting for Angelus to show up. Once he did, beat him, saved and then reloaded.

Pretty sure there's no reason reload after beating him. I just stayed out there for an hour killing everything that dropped and got Angelus five times.

Here's the best spot for farming him:

Fyi, it's better to save (after a successful kill) and load than wait for another dropship.

Reloading resets the chance of him spawning, which is lowered if you just sit and wait. You got lucky on the RNG, I tried this at first, got 1 Angelus and then around 20 ships with all the other spawns. Then I decided to Save-Load, and he consistently spawns on average 1 out of 4 loads.

Can you just idle when waiting the ship or you have to walk around?

You can't defeat someone else's anecdotal evidence with your own anecdotal evidence. It's equally likely that either of us got lucky.

When I was looking up suggestions about farming him, I saw nothing to support the idea that his spawn odds decrease after he's appeared in a play session. I've seen that claimed, but never supported. I've also seen it claimed that he's more likely to spawn the longer it's been since he spawned, which is the opposite of what you're suggesting.

*shrug* I strongly suspect that the simplest explanation is the right one -- there's a spawn table for dropships, and once Angelus is on it he has the same chance of appearing regardless of other factors. All I know for sure from reading the threads about this is that if you want to reload, or not reload, only farm at night, or always face north while waiting, you'll still end up getting to farm Angelus -- everyone who described their own "right" way to do it ended up getting him to appear.

That's what I did, and it worked for me.
