Can't seem to spawn the Pyromancer

So I'm in Chapter 14, yet to fight Ardyn, and I am trying my hardest to get this damn Pyromancer to spawn so that I can get the Ulric Kukris, but this guy just refuses to spawn for me at ALL lol! I have tried pretty much all methods to get this guy to spawn:
1 - get in the elevetor, go out and kill the 2 giants, kill the 3 blob creatures = NO pyromancer
2 - get in the elevator, go out and kill the 2 giants, kill the 3 blob creatures, AND kill all other daemons (snake, samurai dude, and the 2 snake things) = NO pyromancer!
3 - get in the elevator, go out and kill the 2 giants, kill the 3 blob creatures, go in the subway and kill all dameons, AND THEN exit the subway to kill all other daemons (snake, samurai dude, and the 2 snake things) = NO pyromancer!

I'm telling you, I'm starting to slowly lose my damn mind! lol I was able to spawn this mofo my first time when I played on the PS4 and he dropped the weapons on my first try. But on my PC, I cant even get him to spawn lol much less drop the weapon [and Ive had my friends tell me that he doenst even drop the weapon anymore...I seriosuly hope thats just a rare issue cuase I will FLIP the F out if I dont get the weapons drop when I get him spwaned!!]

Anyways,would you guys know of another way to span this guy? Or am i doing something wrong, missing something, or doing them in the wrong order? Any help would be awesome - thanks!

I had the same problem as you except I did get the psychomancer to spawn once and killed him but nothing dropped. After that I couldn't get him to spawn anymore. I tried 10 damn hours to spawn him until I decided to finish the game and redo chapter 14 from the beginning and he finally spawned after clearing the giants, the blobs, the daemons, and the troops down the subway.

Damn.....so Im guessing you chose chapter select to Chapter 14? Man I dont want to do that lol doesnt that reset all quests, hunter rank, and dungeons? Pretty much a new game plus for a specific chapter? and bro I feel that pain - I think today JUST to spawn the damn thing I spent like 7/8 hours. Each time I would beg that he shows and I was slowly losing my mind/patience so I just said screw it lolol

Nah, if you want him to spawn, do this following these steps. I've done it myself & the Psychomancer did spawn, but he didn't drop any daggers lol.

Ok, so we have:
-Fight Cerberus
-Fight Ifrit
-Get into the room & fight The Fierce
-Wait until the quest tells you to board the elevator. BUT don't board it, instead go out you will see 2 Red Giants, finish them & keep moving forward until you see 3 Black Flans, finish them.
-Get into the subway, the entrance is right next to where you find the 3 Black Flans, finish the group of soldiers & Imps inside, then get out. (Go along the subway until you reach the way out on the other side, press the button if the door is closed)
-Once get out, you will encounter an Adriane, kill her. Then move on you'll see a Yojimbo, kill it too and move on.
-Keep moving on until you see 2 Nagas, finish them & the Psychomancer shall spawn in the large area in front of you. (Or you can even see him right there but the DOF blurs the image so much)

Yea I did chapter select and it resets every sidequests and hunts as well as map progress afaik. You have no idea how relieved I was when it finally spawned when I did that and dropped the damn daggers.

If you're unlucky like me doing this also won't even spawn him at all. Trust me I tried everything I could to spawn that bastard. From killing everything in Insomnia to reloading saves etc.

Weird for you lol. I just did it following the above steps to make sure and right before I encounter the 2 Nagas he spawn right there, in the large area in front of the Nagaroni. The only thing that annoys me is that I've killed him like 7-8 times now but he doesn't even drop a single thing lol. Heard this is a bug, which ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the drop rate.

Well I'm glad I didn't have a problem with it not dropping it a second time. Really sucks that this is like the only enemy afaik that needs spawn requirements that are crap as well as an RNG drop.

You really don't need to do all that stuff. Psychomancer spawn is janky because of the Iseultalon + eternal soldiers that also spawn in roughly the same area.

You just kill Ifrit and walk to the elevator. Run back to the entrance guarded by Cerberus. You will note there are 2 red giants where you fought Ifrit. You don't have to kill them. At the entrance guarded by Cerberus, keep walking straight until you see 3x black flans. You don't have to kill them either. Walk around the pile of rubble behind the black flans.

Thats where Psychomancer spawns. If you see Iseultalon + eternal soldiers, kill them, walk away and walk back. Sometimes Iseultalon spawns again if you do this so you may have to do it a few times.

I don't know why people go down the subway. For me it was locked from the other side anyway.

If you are in chapter 15 and your save file text is white (indicating a first playthrough), Psychomancer probably won't drop the daggers. It didn't drop for me.

After doing basically everything else, I just chapter selected to 14 and I can confirm they do drop.

If you chapter select it resets basically everything except main (red) quest progress, character level and your items. So all blue quests and hunts are gone, you have to uncover the entire map again and all the one time stuff like photo ops and magic flask drops can be gotten again.

I could only make the Psychomancer spawn once as well. On that first spawn, all I had to do was to kill the 2 Red Giants. I could skip everything else.
Past that, I couldn't make it spawn after 11 hours of trying, with all possible combinations attempted. I even tried different approaches on the first spawn, to see if those had an effect on the mob dropping the daggers...
But man, I'm now really good at disposing Iseultalons!
