A lost painting. Weskham won't show this hunt.

So I have the quest from Xyv to take a picture of the painting. I go to Altissa and speak with Wes and it hasn't been in the log. I ended up finishing out the game and checked again, nothing. I visited the painting hoping to trigger something and nothing.

Any tricks to get him to give me the Cursed Painting hunt or am crap out of luck. Also not getting this will mean I won't have enough stars to reach the next hunter level.

when you do the hunt for that one pro will take picture of it during fight...there guard before stairs down stairs talk to him. he say something about it and say go ahead down. think this happen(trigger) at night?

But I can't even get the Hunt. The guy in the Bar won't give it to me. It doesn't show up in available hunts. Its suppose to trigger when I get the quest from the big guy in Lestallum. Very frustrating.

hmmm. dont know, maybe your hunter rank not high enough? i think i remember when you get hunt its name is somewhat different for the big guys quest name. you will have 2 listings under your quests section. but its strange that it wasnt listed with the nighttime hunts for that city when you first visted there.

I'm rank 8 and I'm sure on my first playthrough I did it earlier. Hate stupid bugs like this. Really wanted to clear out all my guests.

oh do you see carmera icon near that huge picture if you do activate it or just take picture of said picture( later probably wont work but maybe big dude would take that one....)

Figured it out! To anyone that may be a dumb dumb like me you have to use the "Talk" option again. Even if you already did it once to get him to show you the map points you need to do it again once you have the Cursed Painting quest.
