Is this game even worth playing?

This is what i've heard.

1) Games plot isn't very good
2) Gameplay is supereasy and it's recommended to stay at lvl 1 for the game to be challenging.

So the question is, is this game even worth playing? Is this why the game is on sale?

The easy thing from what I've read is mostly from people abusing the special weapons they give everyone. This game was released with everything prior to this specific release. The level 1 thing is more of a challenge, they give you like one item that stops growth but it's mostly supposed to be used to cheat the games sleeping leveling system.

Or to answer, play the demo and figure out if you like it.

yeah its wprth playing, beautiful world to explore, great characters to spend time wiith and fun combat

Game is fun and pretty, but story is extremely fragmented and incomplete. It's like walking on your brother playing a game with a great story after he progressed 70% into the game. Side quests aren't very creative but they are okay. But I would not recommend the game for the fragmented story, the fact the game was rushed and is incomplete, and because it uses Denuvo.

the game is extremly bad , doesnt handle 2 monitors . full screen etc well at all , its a worse port than 13-2 too

and the game itself is boring , can just go play minecraft and sort 200 chests by item type aswell would be more fun than 15

i have a youtube video or crunchyroll anime in full screen on the 2nd screen , i start ffxv , it starts windowed , and my full screen video gets minimized and moved to the 1st screen

nice try , you can damage control alll you want , Square just trolls its fans now , i hope you will enjoy your 400€ game that keeps on getting DLC for the next 10 years

Well the plot is paced poorly, even then it's really nothing to right home about at least compared to older titles. As for combat it's not that challenging even less if you do a good portion of side quests. OP let me ask you this do you mind sinking your time into side quests? Because that's what most of your playtime will be.

dunno if the plot is bad or good, but in order to enjoy this game, you have to act like living a "digital life"... by enjoying the little things, the substories, the characters moods...

combat can be either "piece of cake" or "nightmare", based on the "enemies level vs yours".
you'll encounter lv30+ enemies (with different, "dark" battle music) that can wreck you in 1-2hits.
night combat is generally a bit harder (daemons).

playing LV1 is just plain stupid: high level enemis will kick you away because your resistance is zero. your companions will suffer big times

The game plot is good enough for a "laugh and tear". And that's enough for a computer game. It helps if you watch an summary of the kingsglaive movie, that gives you more background information about Lunafreya Nox Fleuret, Regis Lucis Caelum CXIII, Noctis and the invasion from Niflheim. The DLC's have enhanced the story of the main game also, so it's more "fleshed out" than the story the console players got on release day.

If you think the game play is easy if you stay on level 1, you are a) masochistic and b) really love to see a "game over" screen. No need to say more.

You seem like a bit of a ♥♥♥♥ but ill help you anyway, find your folder which is normally something like “C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XV\Steam\XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX\savestorage\” and open the GraphicsConfig.ini in notepad

look for “HardwareFullScreenMode=1”.and change it to “HardwareFullScreenMode=0”

It should be a ingame option but its not, this will make it fullscreened windowed so you can tab in and out
