How big is the file size?

I'm planning on buying this in a bit but I was wondering, how big is the file size for the game? Not planning on playing in 4K

Downloading right now (also without the 4k textures) - it's a 75.5 GB download size, expands to a little over 80 GB on disk.

So whats 4k lol? Most FF games are prety huge...Be nice to dig out my 4k monitor for this game.

4K is basically 2160p 3840 x 2160.
You're gonna need a 1080 or a Titan to even run at the resolution and level.
Not to mention it has increase graphical detail.

The "4k pack" is a downloadable optional that has less compressed and more detailed versions of selected environment textures,and better textures for characters/NPC's. That makes up about 12gb.
Then there is 55gb of the pre-rendered cutscenes for the game in 2160p/4k. The default cutscenes are just FHD ,so the high Res ones do look nicer on 4k screens.
Downloading the pack lets you turn Assets to ON in-game. Apart from making it use the new HQ textures and movies,it also increases foliage density and LOD and draw distances on small clutter. Decrease in performance by roughly 5-10fps.
You can also force this increased density by the config into to get the better density without downloading the pack. Without it,land is just barren and barely has any grass.
