PvP. no. If the store page says that it's a boo-boo.
Co-op - only the DLC Comrades. The main game/other DLC's, no.
I would happily recommend this game to others.
It seems pretty obvious that they originally intended the later parts of the game to take place on their own large open maps, a la Witcher 3. I.e., a fully explorable archipelago around Altissia, and another open world area on the continent where Niflheim is. I think they ran out of time to build out those parts of the world, so they just crammed all that story into a few linear sections. Consequentially, they also had to add extra stuff into the initial open world area to make it seem more substantial, but that extra stuff didn't really advance the plot at all.
At least, that's the explanation for the unbalanced story that makes the most sense to me.
As such I think originally the whole game was looking more like chapters 10-14, 6 (that part when only Ignis can drive and you can only choose to stop for a small walk at certain locations) and 7 (where you are technically still in open world but locked in a small portion of it). And really almost all open world activities aside from dungeons (probably my favorite part of the game) and some high end hunts feel like filler content.
As for the story, it still heavily resembles 13, even after they remade it into 15. Its a good story, but Noctis has a very limited perspective. Ardyn feels more like a main character.
While the criticisms weren't unfounded, idk why but I still like the game for what it is. I wish the characters were more fleshed out and this is me having seen brotherhood and kingsglaive. I wish it was as successful as VII so we got that sweet, sweet multimedia treatment on top of what they already did prior to the game's release. I wish the game was longer, in terms of having more hours invested on the set pieces because when this game tells the story on a linear format, it is pretty good.
