Similar Games?
This is probably one of the only games I loved enough to finish to completion. I loved the story and the characters (especially since it is a singleplayer game, but the party made it not feel so alone...if that make sense?), and I thought the combat was interesting (at least the weapons...never used magic except for Ignis's skill). I was just wondering what PC games are similar to FFXV? Don't say FFXIII, because that does not work on my PC, and please don't say Last Story/Xenoblade since I don't have the wii, only the PC.

FFX/X-2 and FFXII are excellent games imo.

Nier Automata, if you like story and character development, Nier Automata is a way better game with a very fun battle system made by Platinum Games, amazing boss fights, incredible OST. memorable characters. Nier Automata is one of the best games ever made, imo. The story will blow your mind if you play through it all.

Hmm... Tales of Berseria maybe? There's lots of character interactions and it's a very solid jrpg aswell.

But FFXV is a weird game, there's not many games like it tbh.

Dragon's Dogma. Excellent combat, 3 dumbass AIs in the party, open world + dungeons, made in Japan. Maybe story is less epic, but there are actual dragons.

I'll echo Witcher 3. Dragon's dogma was okay, the gameplay and boss fights were fun but the story was horrible. I haven't played NieR, so I can't comment on that one.

If you're looking for more open world RPGs you might also like:Elex (the gameplay is horrible and the story is mediocre, but they did a good job on the setting) and the Middle Earth: Shadow of ___ games[/list]

There aren't really that many TBH. Despite having an open world format like so many other games, it still has a certain uniqueness that not many other games possess. I'd probably say DA:I, but unfortunately it's not on Steam.

Breath of the Wild. Runs great on PC via CEMU, at least better than FFXV.

The closest comparison is going to be Witcher 3. They have very similar combat styles as well as the open world with a great story. I like FFXV's music more... Though who can top Yoko Shimomura as a VG composer? Nobuo Uematsu and that's about it.

I would say Witcher and if memory serves Tabata and his team actually played Witcher 3 while they were working on FFXV and they said they liked it.

Witcher 3. Not Witcher. Witcher 1 and 2 are completely different games from 3. They're not even open world games.
