It just makes the game ridiculously easy.
But, why would you go with, say, a Balmung sword that can do 200 more damage than Ragnarok on standard attacks when the preorder sword can deal 3000 more damage on each warp compared to said Balmung?
I mean, it's a matter of playstyle I guess, but for me it's been the starting weapon and probably the one I'll end the game with, as I warp all the time.
Balmung certainly does and no weapon I encountered doing all the endgame chapter 15 stuff came even close, especially with rare metal equipped leading to 20-40k per phase strike.
(Save to say, all other suggestions here so far are much weaker as they are weaker than balmung in terms of pure damage stat)
I use all kinds of weapons, still use Ragnarok for some stuff like Farming Zu Beaks or whatever.
Casual outfit no jacket helps get max dmg on every strike...
Was kind of nice to have something to make farming Max Angelus 0 a little faster... it still takes a while.
The last time i've used Ragnarok was to kill those 100 cactuar on the daily quest xP.
I never did outside of just tryng it out once on some random mobs jsut so see what it does.
FF games adding cheat mode for people bad at games has bean a ting for a while now.
