If you're doing post game stuff you'll get to farm these a lot trying for one of the best accessories in the game so it's pretty convenient in the end.
In fact it's not enough for me to just kill dropship troopers but I also use the respawn enemies whistle all the time.
It's a Final Fantasy game. Non stop encounters. What did u expect? How else are u going to max out all your stats if there's no enemies to farm?
So then it was an Iron Giant, never ending respawns of Arachne Queens, little Arachnids spawning from the queens and then Imperial dropship crews dropping in every minute or so. The radar was a sea of red dots and poor Prompto couldn't stay up for more than 5 seconds so I just gave up and left him downed.
Took about 30 mins but finally cleared ALL of it out. It was about 3 am (gametime) by then and my crew was wrecked. Everyone's max HP (except Gladio - dude is f'ing invincible) was down to a fraction of their normal. I felt good about my victory... For about 30 seconds and then ANOTHER Iron Giant started spawning. I said to hell with that and ran. Thankfully dawn broke a few minutes later.
The nighttime spawns in the game are a bit aggressive. As are the Imperial dropships. It can be fun but also a bit overwhelming at earlier levels sometimes. I'm sure once I'm higher level and can wipe the floor with most of these enemies it won't really matter. But I don't like using fast travel and getting stuck out in the middle of no where when nighttime comes at my current level can get crazy fast.
On that note, I think the Imperial dropships would be way cooler if they actually got tangled up in fights with the other enemies. Like monsters and Daemons. I think it's silly that these big bad monsters and Daemons totally ignore the Imperial troops around me. As if they work for the Imperials too. Would be awesome if the Imperials dropped in on my fights and started getting tangled up and mauled by the monsters and daemons. Would add a nice realistic flair to those situations. Would also be fun to lure Imperials into traps like that.
After you go for a drive with Ardyn towards the Archaean and you camp together.
Fantastic, that's how we're supposed to play all games! Did the exact same thing. No rush.
