I'm not talking about the non-hunt ones. You idiot.
Exact same issue. It's a nice change of pace, when I found almost everything else so easy.
Interesting, I haven't noticed that. Mainly dodging any and all electrical attacks. I'll be on the look out.
Apparently you are. And i'm not even sure if there is a hunt for coeurls lower than 45.

Idiot.
Just wait 'till later in the game. I just walked in a room containing 4 level 90 Tomberry Knights....
Why are you still replying? I am talking about the Hunt Ones. Jesus christ, are you this daft outside too?
I've been waiting on Ignis to give me an analyze of them. I can take down 1 of them, but then my party starts to crumble. I'm trying not to use the OP DLC items, including the Magikteck suit. This has been pretty fun trying to take these guys down, reminds me of my first Large Daemon fight!
Whatever they do, it 1 shots everyone hah. Maybe i'll wait to get some Electrical immunity armor.
I have yet to meet a Tomberry... i think? I thought since my party is 10 lvls higher i could take the hunt on, clearly im wrong haha.
They're electrical, and they reflect your own damage against you. When they rear up on their hind legs to charge, get as far away from them as you can. Warp strike in after their electrical burst, and always go for a blindside link if you can.
And make sure you're upgrading your Engine Blade, Ultima is a pretty good weapon.
Noct should be equipped with Anklets, not Bangles. Roll Knight's Anklets and Magitek Shield for Noct, and then Assist Suit and Platinum Bangle for Gladio.
Throw in a Blizzaga to slow them down, that helps and it cancels out their charge for a few seconds.
(Make sure you're also blocking and parrying, not just trying to hack-n-slash.)
- they reflect your own damage against you
I never knew this. COOL!
- When they rear up on their hind legs to charge
I found even if i hold Dodge it doesn't always work, and i still take some sort of static damage? I'll just roll out of the way.
- blindside link if you can.
Trying, but it can be challenging when you got 3 or 4 of them all in a group lol! Makes nice use ofr Tempest and Gravisphere tho!
- Engine Blade
Mine is rank 2 or 3. I don't understand the upgrading because almost all upgrade requirments items i have, i dont seem to find them till the weapon is pointless to upgrade.
- Noct should be equipped with Anklets, not Bangles. Roll Knight's Anklets and Magitek Shield for Noct, and then Assist Suit and Platinum Bangle for Gladio.
Noted. I think I have the talismon that negates party magic damage right now.
For a group of Coeurls I think Gravisphere and Impulse works best, don't attack while they're stationary. Haven't test but Lasagna dish give full immunity to elemental attack, that should help immensely.
---the ones on the Hunts take more dmg. from Fire, not Cold. So the Fire spells that go off 2-4 times are good. Sagefire+magic boosters on Iggy can help alongside the fire grenades if you have it but don't bother if you don't already. :)
Because there are so many, this Hunt can definitely be challenging when you first encounter it. :)
