Arrgghh!!! I entered chapter 14? at level 40!
I entered the chapter where you have to fight the three headed Dragon at level 40!

It was very tough to even get to that fight!! AND, the summoned dude only dealt half the damage to that thing after I killed it once already!

Now I'm going into untold territory, without a level up, with virtually no potions!!

What level should I be at for this battle?

And, what level should I be at after this?

If it gets much worse, then I'll have to start over!

You can do it at any level tbhfam, but I would stock up on potions and elixers because there is a couple of really annoying things coming up. 50 of each should be more than enough.

And here I am at level 50 on chapter 9 :claugh: The game is very easy overall (on PS4P I was around level 70+ when I finished the game, and that was before they added all those nice extras in Insomnia), but yeah I agree that you should stock up on consumables before you fight the last couple of bosses. :pixelnoct: :pixelgladio: :pixelignis: :pixelprompto: :pixelpups:

Nah, I meant that op should stock up on curatives since he's finding it hard. I were way too overleveled on PS4P, so the final boss went down so fast I got a bit disappointed.

You should be able to do it at 40, but it will be tough especially with no potions. If you can't manage to do that, load a slightly older save and use Umbra at any rest point to go back into lucis to level up

It's all coreographed so you can't lose, which is the issue I had with it. I get that they were going for the coolness and spectacle but it was a little disheartening to not have to try like with Ifrit and the Magus King .

What I reallly dislike is how long it takes to beat Omega. I hate when bosses have a ridiculous amount of health and defense and an instakill move spammed. Over an hour and a half to beat? Yeah nah not even going to bother with that.

Go to a bed, call umbra travel back to the open world, level up.
Come back stronger. Thats what i did entering insomnia as level 35.
45-55 should be enough of a challenge

Use the nilexperience ring, put it on noctis it prevents your party from levelling up when they rest and it keeps all of the xp.

He's an "extra" boss for a reason. It was more impossible in the ps4 when the cap was lvl 99 and he was lvl120.

Gotta ya beat. Level 24 on Chapter 3.

All I've been doing is Blue side quests and various hub Hunts. Last I checked, Chapter 3 Story Quest is only Level 10. It seems, my "do all the things" playstyle will allow me to "breeze" through the story content with "zero" challenge.

Level 56 chapter 8. I win XD
You DO know you can always go back to the open world and level up some more RIGHT?

I really think Witcher 3 handled this the best. Side quests barely offered any experience, because they're SIDE quests and should only exist to flesh out characters and the game world and just...add more content. Side quests giving more XP than the main quests is just straight up silly. Really, FFXV? I get more XP for a bunch of frogs than for rummaging through a tomb to find an ancient god-king artifact? Yeah that makes a LOT OF SENSE.

Yeah and there's over 1000 other RPG's out there that Didn't handle this well and that's why you don't know of them or have any interest in them

That's why Witcher 3 is Witcher 3. It's why everyone praises it. That doesn't mean every other game out there should be Witcher 3. If that would be the case, everyone would immediately lose interest in Witcher series cause there's another 100 other games that do the exact same thing but better.

It's like south park 1 and 2 games. Some of us love the first one cause it's all Fantasy based but hate the second cause it's Super Heroes / comics based. I for one don't like comics and find watching a movie or playing a game or even watching an anime is far better than looking over 20 pages of comics over and over for 20 years. Others love comics and super heroes and hate the first game cause it's too fantasy for them.

You like true fantasy games, many of us do, so good for you. But Final Fantasy isn't for you. It doesn't have Elfs,Orcs,Wizards,Gremlins,Ogres,Scouts,Hookers or Sex,and Witchers. It's got magic but not the kind you know of or even like. Sounds to me that you're really not into FFXV and it's sidequests cause you're not really into JRPG mythos of collecting and killing an entire bestiary of mythical creatures. It's really not the same thing. I for one love the lore and the universe. You and others on the other hand are looking for a whole different world to play in. And untilmately that's not the fault of the game! It's your fault for playing it even though it doesn't belong in your beloved game genre manual.
