I agree and camp every 10th room to replenish HP and save the game. I had a hell of a time with this dungeon.

Any logic and lore reason why items are disabled in this post dungeon? I hate if the reason is only challenge. It does nothing but frustrating me. If there was at least some magic in the dungeon or something that disables using items, but the game doesn't say anything like that. And either way, i don't see a problem to grab an item from your pocket.

I just used the Magitek outfit. After reading up on the dungeon itself I just knew I couldn't be bothered with its mechanics. Still took me over an hour to clear because the enemies were tanky and I was a little underlevelled.

Yes I have, I have the black hood but haven't used it yet since it feels too much like cheating. I was considering using it for this.

Does the game save automatically when you camp? Didn't actually know it does that.

Don't forget to stock on magic and craft a few spells with healing bonus, so you could heal inside that dungeon, since items are disabled. Spells with healing effect work like elixirs, not like potions.

Yes, games autosaves when you camp.

Costemark is not too hard - it have 60 floors, you can heal using spells, save at camps and you can use Ring of the Lucii.

Thanks, didn't know the healing spells work like elixirs, never used em. It shouldn't be too hard then, just gotta stock up on the spells

Just finished this dungeon, died about 5 times. Ring of Lucii for the Imps. Gladio on the Courel and Iron Giants. Prompto on everything else. Build meter w/ Noctis when you can and dump it on the tough fights. I wish more dungeons were like this, I enjoyed the challenge. All of the other dungeons, the entire game rather, came down to how many healing items you had. The no item restriction made me learn to play better or rather git gud.

Bro I remember doing this ♥♥♥♥ on the PS4 this is the hardest challenge in the game. Use healing Magic’s whenever you need them, make sure Ignis has regroup equipped, and DONT UNDERESTIMATE THE little guys with knives they will slide you if you really need to use the magitech exo suits for invincibility

Also there are 2 items you should use. One for noctis and one for Ignis. They give the ability to autouse potions or something. That overrides the no potion thing the dungeons has.... if I'm thinking of the correct dungeon. Because one was no items and the other too long . Ots been long ...

If anyone lost patience and uses cheat engine for unlimited health, watch out for Coeurls. They do some damage that's not based on numbers and it will one hit kill you.

As for the "challenge". I wouldn't mind it, if it made sense. Simply removing ability of using items doesn't make sense to me lore vise. If having too many healing items all the time feels easy, then whole this system should have been designed differently. Then, to make challenge, they should simply make harder enemies, along with some different system that makes it either harder to have so many healing items with you or you would have some other ways to heal yourself. Simply removing ability of using items just because, is complete nonsense.
