Why is prompto so idiotic?

he is always bothering and even above does not contribute anything to the group, since noctis also takes photos
even above every 2 seconds stopping to tell me to make a photo.

Prompto is the only thing I do not like about this game

I am one of those weird ones who actually like prompto. He just tries so hard to be good ( even his episode in the anime showcases that )

prompto is the way he is due to being very insecure people like you are why prompto is insecure.

Interestingly Prompto is quite strong if you control him. Not as strong as spamming Warp Strike with Ragnarok though, but still strong if you discount that and perhaps the strongest with Ragnarok taken out of the equation.

I find him a bit sickly as a character, but I don't dislike him. Ignis is my favourite.

Meh, Promto will speak to you at one point and if you pick the right dialogue, he tells you why he's the way he is.

Later in the game though he's just used as a reasoning for Noctis to talk about how he wants a world without borders...

You know what he does when riding a chocobo? He rides directly infront of me and then suddenly stops. Forcing me to stop. Like what the hell!

I like all of the characters but definitely enjoy Prompto. His dialogue and antics actually make me laugh out loud a lot. I think the devs did a good job at using him to poke fun at a lot of modern social and cultural habits.

hate prompto all you want, but during fight i like playing him more than any other character in the game.

At least he shares some edge, instead of prehistoric nihilistic too cool to talk outdated wannabe leader naysayer noctis' attitude (if put that simple)

All do have their cons n pros but sorta cliched types a lot of times.
