Why is prompto so idiotic?

even above every 2 seconds stopping to tell me to make a photo.

Prompto is the only thing I do not like about this game

Prompto's AI is the best mystery, a guy with a guy somehow always is at point blank range of enemy attack.

Another mystery is that in training sessions, Prompto is almost unbeatable and uses various techniques if you unlocked them for him, something he doesnt really do in normal game.

yeah, because in normal game you have to tell him to use the techniques, just like with the others...Prompto goes down far less often for me than ignis does actually, and has even outlasted gladio on occasion. His "Trigger Happy" technique does some pretty good damage, his "Starshell" technique debuffs the enmies rather well (especially useful against daemons as it weakens them, plus provides some light so you can see better during the battle), his "Recoil" technique is badass, and his "Gravisphere" technique is excellent for pulling enemies into a group so I can hit them all with a blast of magic. The only technique he has that is useless is snapshot.

While Prompto Tech skills doesn't do a whole lot of damage as both Ignis and Gladius can deal far more damage, Prompto will still out DPS the group when you take control of him.

Just equip the machinegun and fire away with that special bracelet on and you rip apart any enemy. With the exception of Ultima Weapon.

I read the original storyline in which Prompto was supposed to betray Noctis because his father forced him or so which would have been a way better plot and we would get rid of him, sadly nothing really important happens in this final game between the heroes. Gladio was also supposed to leave Noctics which was a bit in the game (confrontation during the "titan taming"). Which means the party would have slots for Luna (didn't existed in the original storyline), Iris (after timeskip), Arachnea (after leaving the empire).

it sucks that they didnt make many characters which you could choose to add or not in order to make up your 4 person team. youre just stuck with what they give you at all times. past final fnatasy games allowed you to pick what teammates you wanted. the game is a major suasage fest.

I don't mind prompto. After Tidus, Vaan, Vanille pretty much any other character is awesome in comparison. Prompto's scared attitude in dungeons adds to the atmosphere. His presence isn't that annoying in general. I ignore his photo's most of the time. He can do insane critical damage with his skills that can take out lots of opponents instantly. He is a glasscannon build so him losing health is normal, but less of an issue after a bit. After lvl 15-20 I never had to spend a potion on him any more.

Honestly after 30 hours ive learned a few things

Prompto x Gladiolus. Literally. Hes always the first to gladio when hes down in cutscenes and usually the only one. He talks about cindy all the time but we know hes lying

also noct is a douchebag emo ass hat. He was liek thst before he got the bad news . I unddrstand hes the typical spoiled brat but still dont like him as the hero. Ignis prompto or even glsdio or iris would hsve been better.

i like using his grav skill and give him the grav gun as well.. shooting grav orbs like crazy! but other than that he is usless and looks like a closet junkbox, won't be long till u find him od jerking it to chocobo mags. he does like saying he likes riding his all day..

i have even tried several times to slam on the breaks when he gets out of his seat while driving top speeds to see if he ends up 20 feet in front of us..he doesn't =(

Prompto does everything he can to stick with his "friends" because he's afraid of losing them, hence the photos.

His DLC explains it right off the bat. Also he opens up to noct at some point.

lol, there's a hotel scene that sort of explains Prompto's behaviour. I like him personally though, every group needs a dreamer and considering he actually thought he had a shot at Cindy he fits the bill XD
