and definitly the "no item dungeon" ^^ i guess it has 60? stages and no items allowed to use.. not sure, beating the game at release on ps4,
here on steam i start playing yesterday...
there are tons of secrets at the endgame
...but yeah, Menace Dungeons - of which only the later ones are 'difficult" or moderately interesting for enemy type or challenge - none of them have fun level design, just saying. Randolph's hunt/legendary weapons questline, Pitioss ... finding all the Mystery Map if you haven't already, that's about it outside of leveling, Timed Hunts, maxing out Ascension Tree etc. eg, grind.
Because turn based is something that is in the past honestly. If you tried to get the majority of players to play turn based games now adays, they'd just turn away and not look back, only the people who were used to it and liked it would accept it. You can argue it if you like, but turn based and turnbased strategies are not as popular as they used to, primarily because the people have been spoiled to not be waiting anymore.
The grindy MMO thing was what made FF12 popular as far as I know and it kept that feel ever since then, so if you don't like the direction FF is going, I suggest you write a constructive letter to Square Enix so they can take your thoughts into consideration, vs the pile of cash near them. What they are doing works for the now adays generation.
