For anyone who wants Avatara back, just without all the stuttering, here are the necessary files to add it back to the game.

So far people report that it runs smoothly even though Avatara is back, which seems logically, if all the stuttering was connected with the online stuff, since that is and will be gone for good. ^^

As usual, backup your files before you replace anything and have fun. :)

Hi, I was able to replace the right files, it works good, there is hardly any stutter which is good. :)
Hopefully it dosent crash, I dont have any workshop mods yet in it going to see how it does without thoes for now. thank you!!

Reinstalling the game after a long break. They done yeeted my only reason for still playing it, while i was gone.

I don't know if the exe file is steam or origina dependant, or if it's jsut other files.
You can always try to just use the old exe while backupping the actual one, so if it won't work you can go back to the working one. ^^
I refrain from using Origin if I can. XD

Apparently the Steam exe file is different from Origin exe file, so it won't work.

Then your only chance is to find anyone else on Origin who kept the exe file of the previous version, or someone on the internet who uploaded it somewhere, if Origin doesn't check the files after swapping them.

You are lucky I archive every revisions of all my games, because you wont find older versions of FFXV for origin out there online.


The Origin version of the is game happens to be best version (Although the most expensive), DIDNT have stutters on ANY BUILDS if you had modern gaming rig with great specs.

Origin version worked perfect and smooth for me on GTX 1080TI (Zotac) & RTX 2080TI (Strix), but stuttered on the Steam version nearly every builds using these two cards (Except the debug build and the final build) debug build is the best version to have if you own the steam version (my opinion). Origin Version is the best if on the latest build.

Sadly, on my RTX 3090, The Steam, Microsoft & Origin versions of this game, ALL micro stutter on me. hopefully a future driver would fix this.

Yep, Origin version seems to be the best, I bought it when I realised that all the stutter thing was because of steam version =/ (had it for free though)

I bought this game 'THREE' friggin times!!!!! first on steam (since day 1), then Microsoft store and finally origin. yeah i paid in full (still crying about this).

I wouldn't be shocked someone needed the Microsoft version of build 1261414, I have too backup too, but a bit tricky because the Microsoft version is Encrypted. Origin version of this game is the way to go.
