FFXV IS GETTING 10 FPS WINDOWS UPDATE 1803 (UPDATE: SOLVED)
hi im having a problem with ffxv before the windows update 1803 i had a stable fps of 30 and higher if i wanted to but now i first get this wierd grey blackish screen on start up and then when i load in to the game (and that takes even longer than before)i get this wierd fps count thats around 10 to 20 fps my TRAM is on high and my pc built is a gtx 1080 i5 6600k 16gb ram ssd and some hdd's but the game is on a ssd

is it the windows update that is messing with this game or is it me i like to know if more people have this issue

UPDATE: I FIXED IT AND FAULTY LN2 SWITCH FOR THE SLOW MODE ON MSI GAMING M7 MOBO'S THX FOR THE HELP PEOPLE

I had some problems too. The update borks the graphics driver install. Just reinstall or update to the latest version, and that should fix it.

i already did a DDU didnt help never seen such fps in this game

Do you have integrated graphics card? Maybe it somehow defaulted to that one.

nope im on my gtx 1080 the whole time but its wierd that i didnt get any wierd fps problems when i was on the older windows 10 update hope they are gonna fix these things firefox also has some problems that didnt happen before like hanging on videos windows d=needs to check there ♥♥♥♥ first and then release it

that is strange. The only other thing I can think of is the card is getting stuck at "low power" clock settings. Use a program like MSI afterburner or GPU-z to verify that the clocks are jumping up to where they should be. One thing you can try just as a quick test is in the NV control Panel force "maximum performance" under "Power management mode".

It might just be a very rare and specific bug wither with the game or your graphics driver version. Try different driver versions or wait for the next release. Sorry i couldn't help more.

or its the driver im on the latest nvidea driver dont know if its that im gonna try a roll back to the most stable i can find

i just fixed it it was my mobo a msi gaming m7 and the slow mode switch on the board failed me i got there because i was looking if they had a update and they did so the in the bios i looked at the cpu ghz/speed and it was at a 800ghz insteed of the default 3.50ghz thank got that i did that now im butter smooth so if more people have this pls look in the bios it saved me from going back to console in like 10 years ;p

Only way I have been able to avoid bugs when MS releases those major updates is to do a fresh install of Windows all together.

dont know if it was a ms update thing that messed up my bios i changed the info on this thread (its solved ;p)but thx anyway
