This is only the "tip of the iceberg", and it would take a lot more space to tell the whole story.
However, there are upcoming DLC's. One of those DLC's will tell the story of Ardyn, so you can not only read about it, but also play his story. Other DLC's are Lunafreya's story, an sub-story about Aranea, and a final story about Noctis that includes an alternate ending (like foreshadowed in Episode Ignis).
Hope this helps a bit...
What, are they still going to release content for the game? Has this been confirmed already?
Here's a link with details: https://www.brokenjoysticks.net/2018/04/06/final-fantasy-xv-season-2-spin-off-comrades-game-coming-next-2-years/
Yep: http://gearnuke.com/final-fantasy-xv-dlc-roadmap-for-2019-episode-ardyn-luna-aranea-and-noctis/
This is comfirmed by several other sources. Just google "Final Fantasy XV DLC 2019" and you will find enough to comfirm there is really something coming...
What has this to do with the question of the OP?
I don't get it....
no idea
Sorry - People are not into Chinese/Japanese here (I do not even have any idea what language is exactly used in that YouTube stuff), so they have no idea what is going on in those video's.
You "explanation" is sparse to say the least. You only say what happens (in a very telegram-style way), and don't give any explanation how and why. That's no answer to the questions the OP is asking.
I don't want to be rude or something, but it would be helpful if you answer the questions the OP is asking, in stead of doing some self-promotion (i guess) here.
I mean like it takes all the weight of the sacrifice away if it's basically "ok I died, take two in afterlife".
Hmm... Well.. You don't "exist" in the afterlife. It's just your ghost, an memory of you.
The scene is not an "happy ending", but merly a projection of what they wished they had together, but have never gotten. Only a image of their hopes and desires that are shattered forever by death. After playing that memory, they fade out of existence by going into the eternal sleep, to never ever awake again. They just stop existing...
So no "chilling" or "life after", just only a short memory of what could have been, that fades into nothingness... To be gone forever..
It's really a sad ending...
Glad to be of help.
I would like to add that this kind of ending did not fall really well with a lot of players that are used to western RPG's. I have even seen YouTubers doing a Let's Play that stopped playing after Luna's death. They simply lost the desire to play any futher. A lot of people take that last scene as "Luna and Noctis be together forever", because they really want to have a happy ending.
I think that's one of the reasons why those upcoming DLC's will give an alternate ending. It's for those people that feel uncomfortable with the present "sad ending". But I am afraid we have to wait until 2019 to see how those DLC's will turn out to be.
Well - In fact the whole world is in dissaray. There are a few enclaves left where people survived the years without sunlight, but all unproctected people turned into demons everywhere (Lestallum is one of the biggest enclaves for instance). I do not think there is much of an Empire remaining, or even any form of invading forces. What's left of the Empire is lead by Aranea, and she is purely protecting all survivors, no matter what origin they have. And they have no desire to invade anyone.
After the sun has risen again for the first time in ten years, and the scourge (and the demons) have dissapeared, there is a small population left that has to rebuild an complete civilisation. I think it will take a very long time before there is anything bigger than a kind of city-state.
Now a bit of speculation from my side: The reason I am looking forward to the DLC's, is the alternate ending where the above does not have to be the case. The Noctis DLC description say's something about "Parting ways with the Astrals, Noctis embarks upon his final battle in order to attain the ideal future for all his people". That indicates for me Noctis will search (or fight) for an outcome that does not destroys the largest part of the world. If you look at the alternate ending of Episode Ignis, you see in the clips that Ignis is gathering information from all scientists everywhere. That would suggest that Noctis is going to use science in stead magic to defeat/destroy the Starscourge. Sayant detail: You see that it's daylight when Ignis conduct those investigations, suggesting that the Starscourge is still hold at bay at that time. This could be eiter by a living Oracle or something scientific that has been discovered.
Anyway - A said, this is all pure speculation on my part of course. We will know the answer to this all when the DLC's are released.
