The dlc weapons do break the game but only the first hours of gameplay.
I'd say don't use them and if you are looking for a challenge you'll have to limit yourself.
the nixperience band is you best friend as you won't level up, and if you ask me is the best way to play it. your filling of growth would be detemined by the skill you buy.
the game beeing too easy is not a big problem to me... I just want to play as it was meant to... day 1.
And most of all I dont wanna ruin the "joy" of getting better gear, which is a big part of RPG to me (well... as long as it's not lootfest, where you change gear every 5 minutes... which ruins the game to me too)
The DLC weapons are so powerful you can pretty take on the harder beast right away
