is ifrit dead?

so during the events of ffxv, is ifrit basically dead, and he was then revived 10 years later by ardyn using the starscourge? if so the starscourge is just using ifrit's body, ifrit never was alive after the astral war was he? im confused by all this and would like it if someone knew the answer, thanks!

If even Shiva was still alive...

Gods are not easy to kill, I guess. Neither is dispelling the curse because the other gods couldn´t erase Ifrit´s "gift". Kinda a bunch of lazy a**holes if you ask me

we still dont know if shiva and gentiana are the same person or if theyre two different people, and the whole thing with ifrit is just stupid and way too unexplained, i thought he was fighting with ardyn because he hates humans, not because he was dead and a starscourge had taken over his body

they told us about gentiana, she was a human that was a messenger for the gods, so when the god dies they go inside the messenger and become them

human gentiana is dead, shiva just has her body to live, that what messengers do, they're just vessels
