I only recently replayed FFVII and the Story/Game was as Fun as I remembered.

I am still in Chapter 2, doing Side Quests and this game is more fun to me than FF11-14 ever was.

FF11+14 worst offenders being MMO and have nothing good in it other than nostalgia stroking but feeling like every f2p mmo ever. 12 bored me after a few hours Story and Gameplay wise and I could not connect with any of the Characters . XIII was borderline torture to play, but still better Story wise than 12 since I was able to finish it, FFXIII-2 I gave up on so I never even played Lightning Returns

Yeah it was pretty boring and average i never cared about anything that was happening or any of the characters, they should have borrowed the writters from FFXIV i loved that game world, story, lore and characters, i wish they would do A Realm Reborn FFXV to save this game lol.

So do you highly recommend XIV? I’ve been wanting to play it, but have no friends or family willing to invest in it.

Yeah the community in that game was good when i played you can make friends when you join a guild, i stopped playing it because i got busy irl, be warned that game is much more slow paced when it comes to combat its more or less like FF12, i think it has a free trial that you can test to see if you like it.

Slow game pace doesn’t bother me. My first and favorite FF was 7. Just as long as the narrative and quest are good.

VII is 400x times better game than the trainwreck XV was.
VII even with its flaws is a crazy masterpiece and one of the best games ever made.
XV was supposed to be a high rank FF game but its amazing with all of the backlashes the game got through the years, the loss of staff and just so many delays. It was almost canceled.

Then it comes finally out and its this trainwreck that is constantly being patch and you get enjoyment out of it for sure, you can even be so crazy to call it a great game.
But comparing it to VII, one of the top 10 best games ever made, wow.. now thats a stretch.

Personally i played VII over 40 times+ and i loved the plotholes and so many details in that game.
This game has bad random plotholes all over the place and is unfortunately a chaotic soup of mistakes. I still like it but its no VII, not even a little bit.
Im not even sure i would play new game plus, but i have 100 hour of 1 save and i think thats all this game should get for the single player at least.

FF VII is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game bro. Square ENIX had a big HDD crash that even delay the game, the game is complete unfinished, there's many errors in the main engine that can't be corrected couse original source got lost, the graphics were the worst seen for a '97 game, the team even admits don't know anything about 3D gaming and testing on the fly the results, reused severals CGI out of context to correct the last scripts of the game (like Sephirot appear with gloves jumping for several meters (couse original idea was Aeris to die in North Crate when Cloud give him the materia)) gloves and without gloves when touchs Aeris), added several unused ideas to international releases, even the story is not that all big like FF XV that needs a timeline to be explained properly, there's severals oddietes you can see on Youtube, unused maps, unused scripts, and general baby balanced dificult game, bout you can follow remember how you felt the game instead of how it is

Honestly in 1997 this game and VI were the best rpgs in the universe. No game came close, non in creativity, not in story, not in FMV cinematics. Until FFIX. That game was comparable lol and its Hiros favorite game as well as mine.
